Hip hop and Rap are 2 different kinds of music and this is rap that sells millions around the globe.

I understand your point. But, if all you listen to mainstream radio and watch MTV and BET, that is all you are going to see because that is what sells for the big corporate music companies.

Rap and Hip Hop music are worldwide genres of music. There are alot of rap and hip hop artists in the U.S. and worldwide that do not talk about murder and mysogyny, they amek music about unjustices in the world, corruption in government, having fun, love, tragedy, cannabis :). Even Christian gospel music has created their own genre of Hip Hop Gospel that does not get played on the radio except on gospel music stations.

These are the indie rap and hip hop artists that are making their own music without any mainstream help. You aren't going to see these artists on BET or MTV because the big companies want huge sales. But then again, if you are going to criticize this type of rap and hip hop music, then you also have to criticize the people that are buying this crap.

It's out there, all you have to do is search for it, if you really love the music.
