The ultimate Outdoor Auto Rambos (strain advice).

Hello All,

Nearly the end of outdoor growing season where I live (52N). Some hard lessons taken, some valuable experience gained. Some dissapointmets too. Well, for instance, deer ate most of my plants before I finally learned, that only thing really stopping them are physical barriers ! Very important lesson for next Spring. But that's off topic.

My call goes primarily to all of you guerilla growers out there (respect !). I seek advice from you for best auto seed choices for outdoor as per criterions given below :

1. Mostly Sativa or a Hybrid with primarily head high (think 70 % head effect, no couchlock).
2. Growing proper strong, with consistent distinct vigor, highly resistant to pests and disease, considerable resistance to periodic draught and physical damage (random stem breakage by animals, etc.)
3. Flowering time or final height - no importance (within autos timeframes obviously).
4. Doesn't have to be a THC monster, anything above say 15 % will do (the more the better though).
5. Doesn't have to be yield monster either, anything bit better than average will do (but...as above).
6. It would be great if it responds well to topping, but not neccessarily.

As for breeders I always aim at Fast Buds or Barney's Farm since years for indoor, with great success and these are preferred, unless you come up with something shockingly outstanding from different breeders.

To make it short, a very strong growing, resilient, very hardy strains that look after themselves pretty much with predominant head high.

I have cursorily shortlisted some potential strains, but I didn't researched them thoroughly enough yet to be honest, and these are : Moby Dick Auto, Guava Auto, Lemon Haze Auto, Strawberry Gorilla Auto, Pound Cake Auto, Auto Amnesia Haze, Amnesia Zkittlez Auto, Blueberry Diesel Auto, Cream Caramel Auto, Durban Poison Auto.

Please only advice if you have personally grown a strain outdoors that has qualities given above (ideally more than once).

Big thanks for the input, much appreciated.
Cheers, Pooshec.

Amnesia Skittlez I'm growing some but they're very young so I don't have an opinion on them yet. A plant that I really enjoyed growing was Gorilla Cookies from Fast Buds, it produced some very beautiful buds and the plants had good structure, good resistance, and good smoke. I also liked their cheese auto, but it wasn't as rustic as the gorillas were here.

Yeah, I've done Gorilla Cookies indoor and they've shown a really great performance, very strong growth. My personal favorites used to be Six Shooter and Green Crack, however, for some reason more recent editions of Six Shooter has shown a significant decline in former vigour and performance for some reason (unless I have been just unlucky with particular batch of seeds). Perhaps I shall try asking both breeders directly about which strains they consider the outdoor champions within their catalogues, hmm.

Looks veery promising, best of luck mate ! Looks like a top girl already. You didn't train her hard I see. There are contrary views over the net about that. Honestly, well I always did train my autos, but only until about 22-23 days, no later. I do the top chop then, and after that the SCROG does the job, and defoliation later, successively as it goes to the end. I did brutalize them (seriously, even stem breaking etc.) Six Shooter and Green Crack and those took it very well in the past, I couldn't believe how strong those plants were. However, on my next OP, decided to go with photos, namely Liberty Haze and (probably) Runtz x Layer Cake from Barneys. I did a lot of research meanwhile and am going to give them 5 weeks veg on 15h 40m, get busy with hard training and then start flo on 11h 30m, cutting off 15 minutes of light every week to the end. Sounds like a plan. Did a lot of research about gas lantern routine as well, makes sense, but am bit uncertain about possible hermies resulting, so don't wanna risk it this time at least. Well, am gonna be frank, energy bills are of serious concern here. But that's bit off topic. Still waitin for extreme auto outdoor champions, anyone...?
