For me personally, I almost never thought about this shit. Man I miss that. I think Trump and his presidency has been, we’ll say....very atypical. His tweets, his attitude, his coarseness, his whole deal is just so far from any prior politician imo. People say hes not a politician. Hes the POTUS.....hes def a politician!
-To your point, I think the wild change drew attention, many things about his character draw attention, and then on top of that a ton of shit has happened since hes been in office, some terrible shit. I think people are in a ....”hyperawareness-mode” toward politics now. I know more about this stuff than I ever wanted to. Admittedly, I know very little still, but I know what seems right and wrong to me. Publicly mocking and impersonating a disabled person disgusts me. The whole “Grab them by the Pu**y” thing ffs. Theres just no getting around that for me. Then Biden really just doesnt seem to know where he is....so thats great. Imagine being someone who really despises Trump but hates the idea of voting for Biden too. How does that person make a decision? If you could try to sway someone toward Trump how would you do it, knowing that his arrogance and cruel comments were very hurtful to that person on a close personal level? Toughen up?(heard this one a lot) Thats not enough.

For me its a vote for Biden or no vote at all. Im debating both of those decisions. Last election i didnt vote. Hated both options. Here I am w the same decision but its even worse. I just wanted to hear how someone would try to sway the pendulum to the right. I want to hear them out. Ive said a lot to right wingers. If i want them to listen i should be willing to also.

I rather have ONE king or queen for that matter, OR a system were we all can vote, like a REAL democratic system. At least in my country we all need ID system to a "forum" were we are all public. Its where all the taxes and communication with the goverment is. I have talked about with some friends.. Why dont we have a forum there so we all can attend, vote and suggest what or how we want to go further with the country, city or town. It would need a lot of dialing in, but one person in my country represent approx. 30 000 people. Well, they have to be super smart and really cranked up to match all those people in insight and efficienty.

I was driving around the downtown area yesterday around noon looking for a bite to eat. I Hadn’t been downtown in months. I saw sooo many boarded up windows, for rent and for sale signs were everywhere. Lots of newer businesses were closed. It was very sad, very depressing, as i thought about all of the failed businesses and broken lives. And with every closed business, there are probably dozens of employees that have no job to return to.

In normal times, when a business closes, the property is usually re-leased within weeks or months. I cannot imagine new businesses rushing to open in this environment. I suspect more economic damage to follow, as these multiple business failures work their way through the system, leading to foreclosures and bank failures, leading to more job losses.

Many other nations have handled the pandemic much better than us. They had real leadership. They recognized what was happening, put together a workable plan, and they worked their plan. The US, not so much. No national leadership, and seven months in, still no plan.

Trump’s plan was to re-open in May, which led to more infections. Trump’s plan was to re-open schools. Look what’s happening in Georgia. Trump’s “plan” was to let the governors handle everything, and harass and impede democratic governors that needed assistance and send armed protestors to harass democrat governors.

I recently read that Kushner and associates devised a plan for national testing and trump halted it for political reasons when blue states were being hit the hardest.

To answer your points, the partial ban on flights from China did very little. We know now that the version of the virus came from Europe, not China. The ban was too little, too late.
The medical experts told trump not to re open too early, and he pushed to re open too early.
The medical experts told him not to hold rallies, and if he did, masks should be mandated. Trump held a rally, and masks were “optional”.
The medical experts told trump not to re open schools unless certain criteria were met. Trump had those criteria reversed and pushed for schools to re open even if the virus were not controlled.
Trump has had Dr Fauci on a very tight leash, and now it looks like Dr Birx has a leash of her own.
