That's because the senate controls what fed judges are approved.. You add that like its a accomplishment when you've lost almost every case your judges herd LMAO.
Senate Democrats had 26 seats up for election (including the seats of two independents who caucus with them) while Senate Republicans had nine seats up for election in 2018.
Its flipped for 2020. Republicans will be defending 23 seats, while the Democratic Party will be defending 12 seats. Democrats will need to pick up three or four seats to gain a majority, depending on which party wins control of the vice presidency.
The dems really only need 2 seats. It would put the senate in a tie with the vp having the tie breaking vote.
