Boogie, He's rattled alright. Screwing with the Post Office is a desperate move.

Funny how he chooses million dollar donors for these high level positions and then uses them to do his dirty work.
Making Gordon Sondland an ambassador was another. His million dollar "purchased' position only lasted a couple months before he was ousted and paying some big legal bills for his deeds.

I wish mooseater was still around, it was interesting getting a local take on Alaska stuff.

Drill baby drill appears to be getting its wish.

as a former alaskan i'm pretty pissed about that,it's a fight that's been going on for years...that said there's always been a divide among the population of alaska, some people are just there to loot the place...tough to explain to people who have never been there...it's like living on the discovery channel...

anyway,trump bad,orange man hurt beauty!

I have sooo many members on ignore, some of these threads (this one in particular!) are a breeze to read.

Alaska seems pretty cool, hope it doesn't get messed up. It is like a whole different country. Hope to get up there someday and check it out.

Makes for some interesting viewpoints. Take guns for instance...having to defend against polar bears isn't exactly a valid talking point in the rest of the country.

I bet you're a blast at parties
You and hammer should hang out ,
Fuck yeah, if you got hate in your heart ,let it out...
Let the twilight be your guide ,suffocate that light.
embrace the hate ...embrace the darkness embrace the cold.
Stoke the flames of your burning, seething , hate..

Hate it's

i AM popular at parties, thanks. Hammer & i see eye to eye a lot, true. no hate, sorry. but, i've despised chump for nearly 40 years now, not because of his politics (they don't help his case), but because he is a despicable POS & an utter waste of oxygen. when he finaLLY DIES, I'LL TAKE A WEEK OFF FROM WORK & REFLECT HOW MUCH SWEETER THE AIR IS & HOW MUCH SAFER THE PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET ARE WITHOUT HIM FOULING EVERYTHING AROUND US WITH HIS MERE EXISTENCE. huh, hit caps lock there somewhere, lol. i'm sure in YOUR world that constitutes "hate", so be it. i'll wear it like the Congressional Medal of Honor, or Nobel Peace Prize...

The cost of living in Alaska is the same as Cali. Most items are expensive there. Way better views.

Agree, I think many of us made our opinions on Trump long before he got elected. He was a POS than and is still a POS now.

i highly recommend it...i could tell alaska stories for hours...it's so unlike the lower 48 it's hard to explain...most places aren't trying to actively kill you...

also hard to explain why a giant frozen swamp is so important...it's home to lots and lots of caribou and gazillions of mosquitoes and not many people...an unfortunately a shit ton of oil...

But but muh double digit poll lead....

I hear that train a rollin......

CNN Poll: Biden and Trump matchup tightens as enthusiasm hits new high

(CNN)Joe Biden's lead over Donald Trump among registered voters has significantly narrowed since*June, according to a new*CNN poll*conducted by SSRS, even as the former vice president maintains an advantage over the President on several top issues and*his choice of California Sen. Kamala Harris*as a running mate earns largely positive reviews.

And on the eve of*the party conventions, a majority of voters (53%) are "extremely enthusiastic" about voting in this year's election, a new high in CNN polling in presidential election cycles back to 2003.

Overall, 50% of registered voters back the Biden-Harris ticket, while 46% say they support Trump and Pence, right at the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. Among the 72% of voters who say they are either extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this fall, Biden's advantage over Trump widens to 53% to 46%. It is narrower, however, among those voters who live in the states that will have the most impact on the electoral college this fall.

View Trump and Biden head-to-head polling

Across 15 battleground states, the survey finds Biden has the backing of 49% of registered voters, while Trump lands at 48%.

The pool of battleground states in this poll includes more that Trump carried in 2016 (10) than were won by Hillary Clinton (5), reflecting the reality that the President's campaign is more on defense than offense across the states. Taken together, though, they represent a more Republican-leaning playing field than the nation as a whole.

The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it's a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide)

I saw that this morning as well.
I was happy to see it, as i think many dems become complacent too easily. Its not over until its over. Everyone needs to vote.

Maybe next summer, this one sorta sucks and is just a lost year. It would be pretty sweet to start here in CO and go through to hit up moab...then either straight across or up to hit the grand Tetons and head to some of the national parks in CA and drive up the coast till I got to Alaska.

So many places to go, so little time. That is the most likely trip, sure would like to go see southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand as well but those will wait till the kid is older. I sure miss traveling and seeing new places.

Even if Trump wins another 4 years his supporters seem to think the Dems will never hold that office again. When this happens what do you think there gonna do when they know how much corruption they can get away now. Trumps made it clear nothing that use to matter does anymore. If he can treat any that dont support him like shit why cant the dems do the same. If hate and racist BS is what you want for the rest of your lives your on the right track. I think future generations are in for a rough time now that corruption is OK in the open. No need to hide it anymore.

Seems to me that the majority of millennials and the younger generation are pushing for bernie’s and Andrew Yang’s ideology.
Good luck keeping that momentum down for any length of time. When us old folks die off, you won’t be able to stop them from taking over the country.

In the big city sure, where your vote is really like 1/3 of a vote lol. Country kids are still country kids. Electoral college advantage still applies.

Remember when you were that age ? young ,dumb, and full of cum ?
I was an idealist, how bout you ? wealth distribution would have been a huge thing for me too when I was their age cause I was lazy, loved the idea of free shit...Then, as I got older, common sense kicked in and I started to see how our economy works , how the world works started feeling like I was a leech ,
wanted to achieve something , wanted to help ,wanted to support America
Only difference I see is now kids are taught to hate America but many still love her anyway ...The socialist utopian dream dies, kids grow up,common sense prevails and trust me If it happened to me,it happens for everyone
