this is a easy way of putting on duct to and taking off mongrel duct, taping up duct pipe to fan ends and cannisters is no fun, so
picture.php
I cut bottom out of right sized pot ,taped on first and then just slide on and off with just a tab of tape instead of round and round, have not done it to bigger fans yet but will when down. hope it helps some one out.and don't forget your grow room glasses.

I hardly need to point out the ubiquitous milk crate. But these mini milk crates are handy dandy too. By cutting them down to 1/3 & 1/2 size, they make a perfect "booster" for the runt that's falling behind. Great for catching odds and ends next to the utility sink.

Here's a tip for the dog/cat owners
small-breed-adult-dog-food-with-fish-and-rice-1-5kg-p327-536_zoom.jpg

Dog kibble/cat litter bags (Paper bags) are great for getting grow media into the house. Whether it's soil, clay pebbles or coco. A bit of a pain decanting from the big bag in the growshop (If they're even cool with that, depends how friendly you are with them) but you can seal the tops back up with a couple of spots of double sided tape, then roll them up when you're home and save them for next time. Nobody thinks anything of a cat owner taking cat litter into their flat on the 14th floor, or a dog owner with a garden shed taking kibble in the house.

and BHO extraction tubes!

Care to elaborate? are you saying you pack the tube of the rod and blow threw? I would think there may be some nasty metals or plastics that could wind up in ur bho? I prefer glass but am always up for experimentation.

Spotted these last week.

Spotted these last week.

While I was buying some bits and pieces, I came across these quite sturdy paint roller trays at Wilko (UK chain)

0343135_l.jpg

They are pretty sturdy, I think they would make a great catch tray for drain to waste, they could easily be plumbed with flexi pipe to allow movement of plants. I think they would be good with blumats too, if you get runaways, your plants won't be standing in water, and if you have the trays plumbed into a large enough tank, you've solved the flood problem.
Obviously, they're no good for very large pots and plants.
The main Idea I had was for a recirculating passive hydro system. Pots full of, say a mix of clay, perlite and verm, standing on the platform, with the water level coming up just enough to come a few mm over the bottom of the pot. The res end would be plumbed with a drip line to supply the water and a larger exit pipe going back to the main res.. This means there wouldn't be still water in the res of the tray.
I also had the idea to do a similar thing with a lower water level in the res end, and use water matting on the platform part, bringing water to the pot, but I am unsure how well nutes would transfer through the water matting.

Tip for grow tent users.
Lots of people say they can't get the tent back in it's carry case when packing it away.

Take pictures of each step as you unpack it, and print that into an ikea story board style set of instructions. Obviously you would reverse the sequence and the 1st pic in your how to fold my tent up sheet will be the last pic of the unfolding.

handy for holding long blue lab truncheon meter. screw empty container to block from :biggrin:inside, cut out a piece of foam to fit the blue lab plastic container into and jam it into the bigger one, now it sits like a good work horse should

If you manually water by hand you must try these out. I get them at the dollar store for 99 cents. No more spills or maneuvering around leaves or other plants with a cup.

So ya know that annoying yellow plastic shipping strapping?

Cut it into 4" pieces with a point on one end an they make perfect stake labels!
They're plastic so it's not toxic and you can make hundreds for free.
Just roll behind any retail shopping center an they will have some they'd love to give you from unpacked boxes.
I just save it from my big boxes of parts from work.

bend a piece of stainless or other to fit on tub, glue fit a small block of foam on back so it is standing out on bottom, no bending down to look, handy at door or in distance.
