I was there in 2008 during the Volcan Chaiten eruption, I had never seen ashes raining before, sticky and corrosive material. The eruption in 2011 from Volcan Peyehue was real bad, I read the ashes from Peyehue arrived to Australia. Volcan Calbuco was mild compared with Peyehue eruption
