Don't ask me why, but the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic decided to put cow statues all over the city...(This was in 2004)
I saw at least 30 of them myself and they were all painted differently by different artists..
Seemed kinda weird since there was much other cool stuff to look at there...

1976... & I got to 'know' my 1st (& last) stewardess. But I didn't meet her in the air, I met her in bumper 2 bumper traffic on the FDR Drive in Manhattan, got her # while we both sat there... but we had different things to do right then.I remember beautiful Stews, wide isles and plenty of legroom.

She worked for TWA @ the time but a regular schedule kept us seeing plenty of each other. Craziest thing was the fact that I picked up a stewardess in traffic, while driving my El Camino; that car didn't scream money at all when she coulda picked any businessman she wanted from throngs of passengers.......
Erwin TN has buttloads of art-deco painted elephant figurines downtown, playing off the rep they got for hanging "murderous Mary", a circus elephant. they strung her up using a huge crane that the railroad let them use when no appropriate caliber guns were to be found for her execution after killing her (2nd) handler...
