The strongest weed I've ever smoked

Hey guys, my friend picked up this weed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I believe it's landrace sativa - heart racing, trippy, delusional high with a strong burn out afterwards. V potent stuff! Looks not so great, but it get's me more stoned than the dank indica I've been smoking in Europe! http://i65.tinypic.com/24343zt.jpg

Any idea where this weed originates? I'm pretty sure it's from the Golden Triangle somewhere (most likely Thailand). It is very very compressed (the edges are so sharp they almost cut your fingers) and it smells very spicey, a bit like hay, bit damp. Tastes like absolute shit lol, very nasty taste. The high comes on very fast and it's very trippy (and I mean incredibly trippy lol. I was pleasantly surprised). I really would like to trace the origins of this very potent brick weed

It usually comes from around the borders of Thailand. Surprised you got some in KL - there's been a bit of a drought lately.

But you should be aware that KL has been getting a lot of contaminated weed recently. We're not sure what they're spraying it with, if it's artificial cannibinoids or that Spice stuff, but you will probably have some quite nasty withdrawl when you stop smoking it (my friend was like a jittering meth addict - never seen her like that before). It's affected a few friends and gives exactly the high you describe - very lazy, do nothing weed.

The untainted weed you get from that area is a sativa rush with a slightly dreamy and confused after affect. You shouldn't feel rough the next day.

If I were you I'd break up the weed, soak it in water for a day and then dry it. See if you can see any residue in the water. THC is not water soluble.

Otherwise - enjoy that heat wave bud.

What me and my friends have noticed is with this weed, the side effects are HUGE - really really red eyes (crazy red, impossible to go out into public with), crazy munchies, and, like you said, a dreamy, trippy, paranoid, delusional like state of mind. I felt like I was tripping at times.
I also suspected possibly contamination - it was almost too strong to be ganja (or so I thought). I will most definitely give it a soak and dry it. I want to say it's down to the sativa landrice genetics, am I right?
I've never been so paranoid off weed lol... it literally turns me and my friends into retards. But it's enjoyable, don't get me wrong.

Interesting you mention the confused after effect - so true. This weed is more of a ''trip'' than a high, haha. Is this just potent, outdoor landrace weed bricked and taken care of poorly, or is there a high chance of it being contaminated?

Just to summarise it's effects (sorry if I'm rambling on a bit, it's this weed! haha):
-Trippy
-Intense paranoia
-Really red eyes
-Munchies and bad dry mouth
-Horrible taste, a mixture of earthy and musty flavour
-Very chesty - makes you cough
-Dreamy state of mind (eg if you smoked in the morning, this dreamy state lasts the whole day)
-Feeling rough the next morning

I just can't believe how strong it is! Very intense. I've also noticed there is no ceiling to this stuff - the more you smoke, the more stoned you get haha.
I also noticed slight visual distortions and patterns - which I very much enjoy, as well as auditory hallucinations.
My question is, is this down to it's genetics? I was thinking it may be a combination of high THC, low CBD, presence of THCV (predominantly found in Asian and African strains) + the higher levels of CBN as the weed is bricked, kept in bad conditions (essentially left to rot in the sun), causing some of the THC to degrade into CBN (which would explain the very cloudy high and red eyes)

If you take a flight up to Cambodia you can sample the more normal SE Asian weed in a more safe environment. It's different to the stuff in KL these days.

My guess is after you've washed it that it'll have a lot less effect. I suspect they're spraying it with something to make it more narcotic. If you like it the way it is you probably shouldn't wash it - but I don't think it's the genetics causing all those effects.

I do agree with you, I believe it could possibly be sprayed. But what narcotics do you think they are spraying on it?

The reason I believe so is because this weed has a very strong psychedelic feel to it. It's very strong - almost like a different drug. It's effects can be slightly uncomfortable at times.

Not sure what would cause those effects. Sounds a bit like 'shrooms, but if it were powdered mushrooms you'd see the powder. Can you get any close up shots of the weed - anything look or smell unusual?

it has not been adulterated with another drug, its just killer weed that has been sprayed with pesticides.

I have always had a theory that the strong trippy weird paranoia high of south east Asian weed was a major reason for the Nazi like drug laws that can get u executed. People smoke it and think they are loosing their sanity because their paranoid just like you think your mouth is on fire from eating hot peppers. Then they believe the drug is pure evil like their government says because it either made them or a friend feel very uncomfortable from the high.
