Going to try popping a couple of seeds in jiffies from scratch. They are rubbish seeds so they will go in the bin but I'm curious :)
Planted 20m/m deep from the get-go.
I'll put the lid on and float it in the 26°c water.

The Critical Mass can come out in a week or two. I see a few amber trichomes already and I don't want the sleepy weed :)

2 out of 2 so far
Lid on and floating in the 26°c water it took 5 days from seed buried 20mm. One actually came up yesterday. You can see a root coming through already on the first one so it could be planted in a big pot already if I was keeping it.
I'll leave the lid off now and see how they grow for a couple of days.

Another week has passed....

I have been re-using my potting mix and not noticed the PH slowly getting lower so I have sprinkled some lime on top of the buckets in the hope it will bring the PH back up from 5.5 to 6.5-7.0
This probably explains the burnt tips on some of the leaves and the occasional dark blotches although strains like the Wedding Cake and Golfball don't seem to mind as much overall
I bought some new potting mix today for using while I condition the old stuff in a large plastic container over a few weeks

The Critical Mass got the chop a few days back and I probably won't be doing that strain again, just because there are so many others out there to try

A Glue Cookies has taken it's place for now and gone to the 12/12 light cycle

117gms of Critical Mass curing to go on with when the last of the Dead Head runs out

WC clones. Not really happy with the health but they are mostly rooting. I don't think I will use the cocoa coir again. Maybe it's the PH or too much air space but I will plant them out anyway

GC clones. Will probably keep these going. Not sure yet

So now I know the jiffy seedlings work I will toss them and try some other methods

The Golfball is looking pretty good, won't be long now, and it's been a while since we smoked it so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up :)

Pulled the Golfball and the Dead Head yesterday
The Golfball was ripe and the Dead Head was deteriorating because the soil is too low in the PH which seemed to accelerate the life cycle
They both look like they will be very good smoke and are in the dryer

Here's some pics of the Golfball

Had a few plants go south due to either too much nutrients or PH being too low, or a combination of both. Not all plants were affected but the Glue Cookies went hermie.
It seems some plants can handle bad conditions and some can't.

The Wedding Cake seems to be doing fine and she has a lot more space than I intended now :)

Popping a few seeds at the moment trying a new method.
6x Golden Tiger regular
2x Super Silver Haze
2x Mango Chutney
Hoping to put a GT male over all 3 females

Seeds are between 2 wet sponges, sealed in ziplock bags, floating in 26°c water

Also have a few Wedding Cake clones which were taken when the plant was starting to flower and a single Cookies Gelato front and center

The Wedding Cake looks to be getting closer to maturity but still no amber trichomes
She looks the goods and smells pretty nice :)
I would have grown her a bit bigger if I had known the others were coming out but never mind
She doesn't seem to mind the challenging soil conditions either. Too low on the PH and over fertilized
You would hardly know by looking at her that she's been defoliated 3 times and had the branches bent repeatedly to let the light through
The branches are very strong and don't need any support

Here is a pic of some wedding cake I'm turning the light off today for a couple of days before harvest. Grown in standard vegetable potting mix
It's just starting to get a few amber trichomes and I don't want a cloudy buzz

The seeds all sprouted trying the new method mentioned higher up
6x Golden Tiger regular
2x Super Silver Haze
2x Mango Chutney
Should makes some interesting crosses
One of the Golden Tigers is deformed and growing lop sided in a spiral. On the top is one pointy leaf and one round :)

Trying another Wedding Cake grow since it seems popular with the family and the last lot came out pretty nice
Just switched the lights to 12/12 yesterday and gave the final prune :)
Under a couple of Spider Farmer 2000 lights
Clones came from a plant that was already budding so there was a lot of bush to trim back

The Wedding Cake is coming along nicely and will be due for defoliating this weekend
Click image for larger version Name:	20211123_215128.jpg Views:	1 Size:	155.5 KB ID:	17997302

6x Golden Tigers at the rear. No males so I am left with more than I really have room for. The plan was to dedicate about 5 of the plants to seeds with crosses from the male GT with SSH and MC.
2x Super Silver Haze at the front
Click image for larger version Name:	20211123_215009.jpg Views:	1 Size:	133.0 KB ID:	17997303

3 more Wedding Cakes at the rear
1x Cookies Gelato front left
and 2x Mango Chutney front right

I might have bitten off more than I can chew when all these mature at once :p

Had a bit of a tidy up today but thought I might delay defoliating the Wedding Cake in the large area 'til next week when the structure might be a bit more robust for bigger lateral buds
2x Spider Farmer 2000 lights

Gave the Golden Tiger a room of their own. The 1000x1000x2000 tent
Aglex M240 LED
Click image for larger version Name:	20211127_214158.jpg Views:	0 Size:	124.2 KB ID:	18000831

Cookies Gelato left rear in with 3 Wedding cakes
Trimmed the WCs hard because they started life as bud cycle clones in sour over fertilized mix then were transplanted into new potting mix and they looked a real mess but have recovered well.
They get the 1200x1200x2000 tent and an Aglex M240 LED
Click image for larger version Name:	20211127_223321.jpg Views:	0 Size:	109.6 KB ID:	18000832

2x Mango Chutneys rear and 2x Super Silver Haze front in the 800x800x1800 tent. Not ideal but it's all I have left
Under an old 4 COB white LED light which I will be switching out for an Aglex M240 LED. They are just cheap and seem to do a good job

Very clean grows mate, as well as a bit of variety of strains which is great as well. Good to see some action in the Aussie forum too:gday:

Weather here is stinkin' hot and humid
28-30°c in the grow room with humidity through the roof. Sweat drips off me like a tap when I'm out there. No good when trying to see through the glasses!

First up here is the main staple for now, the Wedding Cake. Seems to have recovered from the haircut but doesn't like the heat too much and I have added more nutes because the leaves are paling a bit

A bit of a surprise in the Golden Tiger tent today. The left rear female is a male. This would have been great news a few weeks back but now I am committed to growing out the rest and want to keep the rest of the girls virgins so he'll have to go

Last but definitely not least 2x Mango Chutney, rear and 2x SSH. I'll be slashing these later when I cool down a bit :)
This 800x800 tent is not really ideal for 4 plants

Slightly cooler this week so the girls are a bit happier :)

The main area of Wedding Cake is coming on now and just at the start of the bulking up phase. Has grown well in the last 6 days 1900x900 area

The Cookies Gelato (left rear) and WC are recovering well from the butchering they suffered last week. 1200x1200 tent
Click image for larger version Name:	Cookies and WC.jpg Views:	0 Size:	123.5 KB ID:	18017993

I've had to do some slashing to the Mango Chutney (with the more sativa looking leaf) to stop in smothering the SSH in the 800x800 tent
and I bought them a new Aglex240 light to get the heat out
Click image for larger version Name:	SSH and Mango Chutney.jpg Views:	0 Size:	118.4 KB ID:	18017994

Down to 3 Golden Tigers now. The male had to go due to space restrictions. Having a little trouble keeping them low 1000x1000 tent
Click image for larger version Name:	GTs.jpg Views:	0 Size:	134.6 KB ID:	18017995

I have 3 of these Aglex 240 lights now. They are great on a budget. Fully adjustable for the different light intensity, from seed to adult, and the power bricks are outside the tent.
I might even swap out the 2 Spider Farmer lights in the main area for 2 more of these Aglex because they give a better spread for less fluffy shit and less heat in the tent
I have no barrow to push but just thought I would share the info since it works for me :)

Christmas eve and I won't get a chance tomorrow for the weekly update

Wedding cake is coming along fairly well and bulking up nicely. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks left. 1900 x 900 area
Two of the plants had pale green leaves but have darkened now. I have been fertilizing with every water which is nearly every day lately with the heat we have been experiencing. 2L per 20L bucket. No drain holes but it is important to tilt the buckets to feel the wet weight of the soil occasionally to avoid over watering and killing the roots. I'll start straight water again for the last few weeks of flower.
I'm using a new organic seaweed concentrate diluted at 25 on the CF wand
