Damn this is an old thread! :)

My family is leaving today for a road trip, so maybe I'll take a couple pics of some dry Sharon once they're gone. She's still one of the best I've ever smoked. Not the stoniest, but the headiest. She gets me thinking, idea weed. :)

Some pics of a very special Sharon will be showing up in either High Times or Heads in coming issues. The samples Joe and Damakkus tried was not the best example of Sharon, although it was certainly not terrible. Some of the other plants in the crop hermied and pollenated everything. :( A pollenated plant will NEVER be as potent and delicious as sensimilla. But now that Joe has the clone, he'll get to know her intimately for himself. ;)

I'll try to get some pics of Sharon up later. :)

Crazy, it may not have been your best work, it was still very good. Distinct taste, good high. Definte keeper in the garden. Would love to see what she looks like in flower. Those buds were covered in trichs. Very impressive.

Sharon, later in flowering.

And yes, that bud is totally variegated. :) Pics of that bud have been sent off to the mags for publishing. :) Keep an eye out for them. In HEADS it's going to show up in an article about revegetation. next issue, I think.

Pics of this bud, dried, will show up in High Times, I think. :) I still have that variegated bud and a totally white lower bud. I can't bring myself to smoke them! Like the White Buffalo of Native American lore, a sign from the Great Spirit? hehehe Perhaps? ;) Makes for great pictures anyhow. :)

Enjoy

Heya raskal. :) Nice to see you about. Yeah, you need to try this Widow selection. She's killer, and I'm sure your perfectly dialed-in conditions will make her dance for you. :)

Dude that looks like some strange bud. Does it all grow that way? Who variegated it and why would you want to do that?

That happened as a result of going to flower before being fully revegetated. You shouldn't put plants into flower that are still reveging. Sharon (like Blueberry) has a tendency to get variegation here and there, but this is an extreme case. :)

Unfortune for Lonestar, he had a run-in with TX LEO and lost everything. He is currently fighting the battle & we wish him the best of luck! Some of Lone's supporter have secured some of his breeding stock...I'm taking care of his DoubleSourDiesel & KillerQueen...a few have some others. Glad to see that Sharon was saved by a few...I never had the chance to try her...but it seems her reputation lives on!

Damn good description of this strain. I'd never really read such an intimate account of Sharon, but it makes me want it really bad. You're continuing to impress me Composer...

Hey guys can you clarify this for me? Is the name just "Sharon" or "Sharon Widow" or "Sharon White Widow" ? As I have seen it used in each way.

here's a strain decription taken from another site that talks about the origin's
of the name "sharon".....may or may not clear things up..lol

Darlene
Next up,Darlene! Ahh, I have a killer (as many know thanks to Crazy Composer and Heads magazine!) White Widow female MUM, her name is Sharon! I named her Sharon because of a small smokeout we were at and this dude said, "Well, spank me lightly and call me Sharon! And the name kinda stuck! lol True stories are always the funniest! haha

This is the best Pot I've ever smoked! Darlene is the strain and we used the supernew and freakin' awesome Santa Marta genetics with it, I calls'it GoldMonkey! (seems anytime I getta really killer 'unknown' I will be sure to add "Monkey" to it so I know I need to keep her, and she is a stompass mofo!).

Anyways, I digress, The Darlenes are a Sharon White Widow crossed to the Santa Marta Gold cuts shipped from Cali a few years back. Superb two hit stuff! So it passed all TRC regs and is now a part of the rotation as well as, Darlene, will grow easily! Watch the nutes tho! She doesn't eat alot in veg and at the start of flower BUT!, from week 2 thru week 6, she is eatin' like a preggers woman! Wow! But look at the buds!! Extremely heavy and potent! Darlene, what a winner!
