is an Impeachment more like a Civil Trial or a Criminal Trial ?

Seems like the burden of proof is heavier in a Criminal trial.


it seems logical to compare Trump's "fight like Hell" comment to K. Harris' joke about killing Trump in an elevator.


But nobody died after Harris' joke.


The whole thing is right on the edge of having a case, or not.

How can the Senate decide a Constitutional issue, when the voting is 100% partisan ?


I would say, the Dem Senate & House does not have the right to tell Repugs that they can't vote for Trump in 2024.

But the people who were harmed do have a right to sue Trump.

And that being able to hold public officials accountable via civil law might actually motivate some of them to do a better job.

Right now they can be incompetent with near total impunity.
