Does anyone have an update on the VaporHawg? I've sent a couple emails to Pharm Gold and was told to expect to hear word around the end of February. My latest email sent a couple weeks ago hasn't been answered. I did receive a quote of $1,000 for the cyclone filter and am expecting the VaporHawg to be in the 10k neighborhood but haven't heard an actual price.

I spoke with them a while ago, and $10k is exactly what I was told.
go back a few posts, I mentioned it somewhere here.

Hello Graywolf. I have read numerous posts of yours in regards to extraction & found much of your information to be very helpful. I currently am running a CPS-TR21 recovery pump with an MKIII extractor from terp extractors. I recently have been having issues concerning the returns that I've been getting, only getting back only 8-10% at times. I have tried a number of different techniques to try & pinpoint the problem but have yet to find a solution. I have tried using different sizes of tubes, changing the temperature of the water that the system is in, etc. At the state where things currently stand, I am wondering if it is due to the CPS-TR21 recovery pump? If so, I am considering upgrading to the CMEP-OL pump that you recently reviewed. If you could help me in any way regarding the problems I've been having it would be greatly appreciated.

A pump is not going to affect your yield. I run TR21's and I typically see slightly above 20% with good flower material, 15% with outdoor flowers and about 10% with any trim I've run.

What solvent are you using? how are you flooding?

Pharmgold has 10 pumps in stock, and 9 more in the pipeline and an additional 10 on order.

Their prototype testing was highly successful and they are finishing with packaging details and refinements.

I expect them to start delivering in April. [email protected] is their contact.

The only way I see for the pump to affect your yield, is to lose some of it's push/pull, so that less butane is passed through the material.

If you have a refrigeration scale, I suggest weighing the Mk III supply tank before and after flooding to verify it is passing enough liquid through the columns.

I just pooped my pants a little. I'm nowhere close to being able to get one of these pumps yet, but god damn I want a VaporHawg.

So, SWIM has a vaporhawg. They just set it up this weekend on a markV clone also built by SWIM.

SWIM seems to think a variable speed controller for the 2 HP motor would be nice. They're also having problems fighting a 1/4" liquid outlet on their HX. Planning to upsize that all to 1/2" this week when the parts store opens. The hawg shakes pretty good when fighting that dinky outlet.

SWIM only has a couple hours on the hawg, but has already figured out it is outrunning their ability to boil the solvent, so an upgrade of pot heating is also in order. This is a good problem. :) It is just an indication that run times will continue to improve.

Overall, it is worlds away from the cmep-ol SWIM used to run.

Yeah, it pulls 29" vacuum with a full boiling 12" pot, even with a 1/2" port. You need more surface area or some heat to use its full capacity.

So while doing some research on pump options , I came across the new Pro Set CPS pump called the TR600 and no one is really talking about it . It is ignition proof , rated for R290, R600 ,R601, and is a very reasonable price tag. (for those who aren't quite up to the financial level required to level up to a haskel or one of these new beastmode vaporhawgs)

Thoughts ???

Solly, first one I've seen, but generally like CPS products, as well as made in the US of A.

I tried to determine performance from their attached literature, but alas, their published recovery rates don't include R-290, 600, or 600A, and don't include enough information to easily determine what its displacement is.

It is .66 hp, and is capable of up to 550 psi, so is ostensibly not a race horse, nor is it designed specifically for our market, but a modification of existing designs.

That can be a good thing from a tried and proven reliability standpoint, and does show CPS continues to eye our market.

The electrical just says sparkproof and UL/CE approved, not NEMA 7, Class 1, Div 1, so you may still have to get by the electrical inspector/fire marshal, and that could vary by location.

Anyone use a inficon vortex pump? I'm looking for a good replacement of my trs-21 pump. I'm sick of rebuilding it all the time. What's are some good affordable options?
