Cannacopias Roadkill x Deep Chunk is the stinkiest shit I've ever had the pleasure of smelling. Opening the bag indoors will cause the house to reek for hours.

My memory of th "skunk" is nothing about....rotted meat, shyt, sweet, aroma. This stuff was pungent, acrid, skunk piss in the mouth funk that stayed in your taste buds well after the smoke was gone. A skunk spray and the skunk aroma seemed to be one in the same. The taste although very musky and pungent was welcomed by the taste buds and grew more pleasant with each pull. It would literally reek the whole house without even being lit. If you've ever smelled true..skunk sparay ..or a "road kill skunk" you know the smell.

T2U......StonyPuffnStuff is right on target in describing the RK of late 70's............as I tended that line in Corralitos and it was a sativa based line that stank from sprout to bag.........nothin' compared.....

maybe rks was just grown outdoors in fields thar were boobie trapt to keep deer away. maybe the boobie traps scared the shit out of the skunks and they sprayed our favorite plant.

it is becoming a mythical beast that everyone has a storiy about. eventually we will abandon the memory as false and rationalize its existance away.

from my memory "the skunk" hit ok/tex/ark in 81...what year was sk1 released? "the skunk" became huge nation wide in the next couple years...everyone wanted it...imo when the dutch seed/money makers heard bout the hype surrounding "the skunk" they just played to the american market with sk1...i even remember an article in hightimes from that period talking about this same thing...and how the dutch were just using it as marketing...imo they did the same with haze...and almost every other strain that has became popular in the us...just good marketing of something that isnt what it says it is...

this look familiar to anyone? i used to buy packs of this off a grower in the 707 north bay...he called it skunk #1. it was really frosty and stank like hell, mostly fruity tones that reminded me of green crack....i smoked some with a friend back east and he said it was the best they have seen since the old school skunk days..

the rks i was smokin in the 90's didn't have much trichomes either...either that or they were really small glands hidden in the leaf.

sounds good bro....i'll take you up on that offer forsure

do you remember what the plant was like or how the finished buds looked?

like indica or sativa dom, alot of red hairs, or not many hairs but tight leafy style buds, ect...i know there was a couple types of rks in different forms...just curious....peace

i have defenatley bought skunk in the form of no trichomes and compressed but i have also for a fact bought skunk that was loaded with thc the shit smells just like a dam skunks ass or like old musty 10 day old coffee filter and im fucking pissed when these dam starbucks yuppy ass dispencery owners tell me nobody likes that kind of weed and thats why there skunk smells like blueberry>!:gday:

My fellow Skunk luvers, the hunt continues I see. Maybe 2012 we will get some kind of "break" and get a line on a couple of old RKS'. Lets keep hope alive, we've already come this far. My search is already over 10 years long and i'll wait plenty of more years if needed to see a proper RKS released in seed form. Ya'll take care 1

I always thought it was pure indica. All threw out the early 90's its all i smoked growing up in the bay area. Light green buds with little hairs.

The smell you we are searching for is sulphur .... slight hints of sour ...
Trinity has that! 91CSkVa has it too im sure there are others

i have some 3 way NON amsterdam Sk#1 there were no road kills in them....
flavors ranging from slightly sour skunk , spicy skunk , hints of spicy sweet

Kinda like Big Sur holy

what made original SK#1
1/4 Afghani some afi's are slightly skunky , but most have a hash plant incense flavor..? 1/4 Acapulco G AG is a sweet spicy type
1/2 Colombian G CG is also a spicy incense

Exactly what im getting from my SK#1's

im thinking our RKS must have been a hybrid cross either by mistake or intentionally
or ? Not many strains back then had a skunk smell "ie" Mid to late 70's.... maybe Skunk#1 was the skunk smell that people have been looking for , just has evolved out of the pungent category compared to how spoiled we are now with our options

Maybe MCastle has somethin close ? =) or Bohdi

Ahhh the Trinity, hopefully I will have it soon enough ;). I still think strains like this, Shoreline, Berkley, and Gainesville Green need to be explored more. Maybe S1 them so you can search through each of the genepools. Landraces like the North Indian that Tom Hill is working on are also excellecent places to start a search for the RKS (hope he pulls it off with that 1). Hopefully sooner than later we'll all be swimming in buds that smell like skunk butt again ;). Ya'll take care 1

If you want some real skunk piss in your face weed give this test a try. It has to be run outdoors in the ground for best results. I'm sure it will work indoors with large containers as well
1. Get a indica dominant strain with a subtle or strong skunk smell like Chemdog. Any strain that has a hint of skunk will work.
2. Next plant two groups.
3. Group 1 you will grow and use over the counter organic amendments and over the counter supplements
4. Group 2 you will dig you hole about 18" - 30" and at the bottom drop in about 1lb of bat shit layered by soil with raw fish parts or whole fish and egg shells that have been baked in the oven and finely ground up
5. group 1 you will water and feed as you normally do, group 2 you will water and can supplement will fish emulsion during veg and bat guano teas during flower.

Summary: smoke test on group 1 will result in average smelling weed with slight skunk undertones while group 2 will have a repulsive skunk piss taste and smell that everyone is after. The fish head/parts recipe amplifies the skunkyness in most strains

p.s. sativas grown with the group 2 recipe will result in old school hashy pine taste and smell
