Here's my contribution.

Green Oaxacan Hash [dry sieve 100 mesh] was made from the stuff that stays on the stems and the shake from my 2004 Oaxacan bud [it took some time to pick all those bits and pieces off the stems and twigs, the shake was easier to collect, though]. The block was lightly pressed into shape from the dry sieve material, it smells like a spice shop and tastes of sweet, spicy Christmas cookies. Even though this hash looks very green there is absolutely no chlorophyll aroma or taste.

The dark brownish ISO was made from some Gold Oaxacan shake soaked for two minutes in a jar with 91% Isopropyl alcohol. This hash smells like Finnska soft licorice and tastes like that fuzzy skunk choco/hash taste from the days of yore.

the Honey bees are specifically made for oil extraction.. is it a hardened plastic..?
i heard plastic is better because it doesnt stick to the insides...

elykdogg - sorry for not responding sooner; most of the time, the baron does what he thinks of as the gentle heat purge - hot water outside for the liq tane, bring it inside after popping the bubbles 3 times outside, might ahve to change the water 1-2 time(s), then bring it inside, pop all the bubbles again, but rather than the double boiler and torch a la HMK he usually set's the plate on a counter, set's a hair dryer nearby with the air going directly over the plate (if you can find a way to hold the hair dryer in the air pointing down towards it, that helps, but make sure it's stable and that even if the hair dryer falls, it won't set anything on fire or fall into your plate, i.e., use the towel ring holder and a weight in the bathroom, set the evaping plate a proper length away, turn the hair dryer on, watch it for 5 min's and make sure you're close enough to hear it if something goes wrong, or just set it on the countertop normal like) and spin the plate every 15 min's, popping the bubbles every time you spin it. this is a kind of ghetto roto vap, ya dig anyhoo, after that, put it in a dark, dry place, still in plate, not scraped, for as long as you can stand. it helps to put some dessicant in the area, say a plastic cup filled half way with silica sand OTC kitty litter works great.

then, finally, after at least 4 hours, hopefully 8+, you'll have super-hard resin, typically, that scrapes up for a nice chunk. if you want to be thorough,
do a gentle torch tek after this: kinda like HMK, but not for as long or as intense,
since the hair dryer and time have done most of the work.

really, you don't even usually end up purging anything, but the slight amount of heat does help melt it together. but bware- don't overheat it...

the dry ice purge is better, and lower temp, much nicer on the resin,
but takes at least 24 hours and some $ and time. if you're interested, ask, he'll explain.

and as far as the plastiq,
the honey bee is fine:
it's an atomic age plastic or someshit

and is fully compatable with butane, it's fine.

however, most cheap OTC plastic's aren't a great idea for said usages:
PVC, especially, will usually, at least eventually, add some nasty shit to your oil,
since plastic is a hardened solvent, ya dig, not really a solid, just formed and forced into 1...

foaf on OG has spoken extensively about how certain plastic's are fine and oaxaca spice was generous enuff to PM me a butane compatability page b4 that was wonderfully insightful. however, the fact that all plastic is, as stated, really a hardened solvent, the baron doesn't really like the idea of using solvent's to extract with solvents... as a former chem hack (amatuer chemist, not doing anything bad, just studying) he prefer's to stick to known route's: using glassware for serious stuff, Stainless Steel for certain solvent's, particularly with by-pass (shorter exposure) technique's like modern BHO takes advantage of...

point being: lab grade plastic, ABS or the honey bee should bee fine. but for most ppl buying the shit to build at home SS is better and copper works fine, but needs to be thoroughly cleaned and replaced often.

I used to jump out of airplanes too, but I got paid to do it [at least you have fun, my DZs were always the kind of place where you were ass deep in alligators the minute you touched down]. Man, I miss jumping out of perfectly good aircraft.

sorry, missed that question bro, ummm its an 8 bag set, and i find the straps very useful for the last couple bags that take so long to drain. I bring the 6 foot painters ladder in the house, and rig the straps and bag onto it in a "cherry picker" fashion

oaxacaspice..My question is have you ever skydived? What you were doing in the army is called parachuting (which you know haha!) due to having a static line attached to the plane. I have about 4000 skydives right now, if you've never done a free fall you really should try it man, but what you did for your country was awesome bro, I was on nuclear submarines for 6 years, that was allot of boredom punctuated by short periods of excitement, sort of like the army huh?!

Maximo, I've got 900 H.A.L.O., 200 H.A.H.O. and 1500 static line jumps under my belt, homeboy and 500 of the H.A.L.O. or no-contact RW jumps were made between 35,000 and 45,000 ft. at night using HAPPS MT1X, MT-5 or MC-4 [High Altitude Precision Parachute System] rigs, add to that 150 Lbs. or more of equipment [lets not forget the night vision and oxygen] and you've got some serious skydiving, going on. We would usually pop our main at about 1,000 - 700 Ft. from the ground or less depending on how brave [or crazy] you were, but that was dictated by ground radar.

An automatic rip cord pulling device:
If the jumper descends past a pre-set altitude, the device will read the air pressure and approximate the current altitude of the jumper; if this approximation is less than the one pre-set, the device will open the parachute automatically. But you already know this

My weapon/s

A pair of gloves

A pair of military free-fall boots (designed for ankle support)

An oxygen bottle and mask (if jumping over 12,000 feet)

And a damn 50-100+ pound ALICE (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) pack with combat gear and all the ammo you can carry, up the ying yang.

Try this at night with all that shit attached...

But, yeah, I still go skydive at the Santa Teresa Airport in New Mexico every now and then, but nothing like you, my friend
