Nah, I decided to go the CXB3590 way;)
Holders or not, the mind is set*.

6x 3590
2x hlg-185H-C1400A
-------
total around 300W(50W/cob) with possible addition of another pair of 3590s in the future

I think it's a great setup for a start.

It will cost almost the same as a CMD 315W light but I'll have more versatility and lots of fun building it:)

*totally obvious question: which is the best way to fix the cob on the heatsink without using holders?

get the ideal holders if u still can and arctic 64 plus

the arctic 11s flat surface on the heatsink is only 43 x 52mm (67.47592 diagonally) while the COB size is 35 x 35mm and the ideal holder is Φ65*6.94mm

so it will fit(importantly the cob will fit) but there will be a bit of hang from the holder

Yeah, it wouldn't look very nice:)

Do you maybe have data on the Arctic 64+ surface. I contacted Arctic but got no answer yet.

Last update here.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, I got the 120x60 tent in the end.
It will fit much better and is not so different or worst compared to the 90x90 model.

Cheers

Still no ventilation yet, I have the top hole of the tent opened just in case.
Vegging under 100W cfls (6500K) so no heat yet, I think next week I'll get a nice fan with rpm regulation and carbon filter.

What size fan+filter do you suggest for extraction?
