started feeding again and man have they picked up.

Getting near to flipping them now as i am getting worried about the height.

So far Tim, Mike, Marsha and Daisy are showing early flowers. :woohoo: (ah can use smilies) Marsha (strangely) is showing the most, proper big pre flowers...

Marsha (and here is a Where's Wally moment. can you see the hair...?)

she is still a little yellow but she must be feeling ok, or she is panicking either way a pre flower is a pre flower.

i am going to give them a good check over at the weekend and look for signs of males then swap the main light to a sun glow 400w and whack them into 12/12.

fred_light - thanks for the kind words - love your grow... temperature control via pearl.... :yoinks:

47 Days in Veg.... Day 1 12/12

Just flipped them into 12/12 and started light feeding with Bio Bizz Bloom and swapped the 400w MH bulb for a 400w Son-T. In about a week to 10 days i will start supplementing that with Top Max bloom promoter.

for the record, the current heights are.

Marsha 24"
Colin 17"
Tim 24"
Mike 27"
Daisy 27"
tyres 16"

The question is now is how far are they gonna stretch???

I had been wondering whether to bother giving them a prune and after doing an entire night of research there was a 50/50 split in opinion so i sucked it up and went about them with a pair of scissors. (there was a worryingly large pile of leaves on the table afterwards....

So far, all apart from Tyres are showing definite female pre flowers. according to some of the guys on the Strains Board i may have issue with Hermies as these are from a feminised plant that threw a few male flowers and fertilised it's self so i am gonna have to keep a close eye out for anything not female looking.

day 5 12/12

The waiting is killing me, i am getting paranoid about male flowers even though the only signs of flowers are female ones.

Had a bit of a problem with one of the extractors, the carbon filter detatched from the fan and was hanging into one of the plant (Daisy), hasn't snapped anything as far as i can tell , Fingers crossed.

I watered yesterday and have started to add a light dose of TopMax....

Got an issue with one of them, all the new leaves have yellow tips, i have had a look around the forums and cant find out why....

thunder, when you repotted did you use new soil? if so what kind? Using new soil would then introduce fresh nutes in that new soil and then adding the feedings on top of that could be causing a toxic nute build-up. try leaching them with straight water for about 2-3 days and if those are 20 liter pots i would use at least 5-6 liters of water per container on the first day and 1.5 liters every day thereafter for the 3 days. this should flush out your soil and leach the build up away from your roots. after that 3 days dont water for at least 2 days and then just plain water and the bio biz for a week and a half, this should bring you back to good and then resume your regular feeding cycle as the soil will be an almost clean slate once again. This might have also been the problem with colin from early on, though it could just be dilluted genetics or a not so great seed, since a hermie plant fertilized him/her self.

And by the way I've just spent the last hour reading your journals to current, and i am very impressed with that grow in a shed. when it gets warmer again you might think of investing in a portable a/c unit or a window shaker unit to install through the wall (MAKE SURE YOU CONTAIN THE SOUND!!!). Excellent grow my friend from across the pond, I hope to see more pics soon.

Lookin' good, thunder. Nice and bushy in there. Colin rockin' the shed now, awesome! Don't worry about my plants, bro. Once they reach the top, I'm topping them. They'll bush out more and on with the show. Good luck in the shed, bro.

Hi Chef!

yeah i used new soil brand called New Horizons. it's organic and peat free but does have added nutes so totally my fault for adding supplemental feed..

i am backing off the nutes but i am not going to leach the soil. i had another thread going with a good discussion about the relative merits of flushing an organic grow to remove the excess nutes but the over riding opinion was that it can do more harm than good, something to do with harming the microheards.

and you are right, i am a bit worried about when it warms up but my summer grow was ok as i was venting with one 4" vortex and one 5", seemed to do the trick and kept the temps in check. i have put some insulation in the roof which helps retain the heat in winter (a little too well imo) but will also help keep the heat out in summer time will tell!

Abbie - Colin is indeed doing well now, i'll be posting some pic's tonight when i get them out to have a check for males/hermies

theHIGHlander - you are not wrong there my friend, i expect that i will have some problems getting in there in a few weeks time, that was certianly true in for my summer grow!!

oh and Welcome aboard Fred!

Day 11 12/12, 58 days total.

Not out of the danger zone yet but ALL 6 are showing plenty of flowers and the stretch is definitely on as they have grown about an inch a day in 10 days. so far there is no sign of any males or hermies but i know that can change almost over night so i am not counting my chickens just yet

They are now getting 5ml of Bio Bloom supplemented with 5 ml pl of Topmax. and i am watering a about a Litre a day.

Tyres was looking over fed (yellow tips on the leaves) but is improving day by day and i intend to start feeding again with bloom in 5 days time, although i am still supplementing with Topmax at about 2ml pl.

All in all this is looking like one hell of a crop, usually by now i haven't seen much stretch (certainly not to the level that i am seeing with these)

Picture Update. taken at the weekend.

21 days 12/12.

So far so good, apart from a few males here and there on a two of the plants all has been going marvelously since i flipped them.

Their growth pattern is different to my last blueberry grow.
All the side branches are stretching massively so i am starting to bend them over and the central cola is less pronounced.... all except Colin That is... Still the smallest but also the most recognisable in shape .

got some pic for ya,

Colin

Tim

Daisy

They are getting a bit to big to get some good individual shots.

By my reckoning they have got between 5 and 7 weeks left. The previous grow was cropped 7 weeks into 12/12, but that was in summer and i didn't over feed them.

Lookin' good, thunder. You got a jungle there. And a nice clean room, too. Growin' in the shed/garage in winter is totally possible, our plants are livin' proof! Hey, I put up fresh pic's today, come check 'em out.

Hi all.

Sorry about the lack of inter week updates i have been a tad busy at work, the joys of the credit crunch.

Everything is going ok, and unfortunately, just ok, 3 out of the six are not really going to plan, they are massively stretching without putting on much weight and they branches look weedy.

That said, the other three are going great guns.. with Colin and Tyres leading the way. they look the most "normal" to my untrained eyes.

I have now been watering/feeding every day (the pots are always light) with full strength (5ml per litre) of Bio Bizz Bloom at every watering and adding 5ml per litre of Top Max at every other watering

Not sure what to do with the stretchy ones, my current thinking is "time will tell" unless anyone has got any organic suggestions that is.

Some Pix for ya, all taken today.

Group shot.

Tim.

Monster Mike.

(yes, that is one bud, much bigger than any other in the shed)

Colin.

(the most normal)

Quick update.

Colin, Tyres and Tim are fighting fit, Tim is looking like being ready way before the others.

Unfortunately i had to cull Daisy, Marsha and Mike. asked a mate to check them out and he says they were growing like males. They were straggly and and not adding on any weight at all so i decided to save the fertiliser and give the others room to breath,

Dryin' what i can and i have sampled some , tastey smoke considering if a little short lasting, never had a plant this young before so i have no idea weather that is a function of the age or being a hermie.
