You absolutley believed that the person entering your home without being invited in was going to inflict serious if not fatal harm to you or others in your home. That's your story and you're sticking to it. You won't get prosecuted. If someone tries to hurt you on the street and you are defending yourself with a handgun and have a concealed weapons permit, you are under federal law, allowed to use deadly force to ward off an attacker. Just make sure you gun is registered and your papers are up to date. You have to renew...

Don't worry about the flash, it's not as bad as looking at an HID...

Any person using force intended or likely to cause death or great bodily injury within his or her residence shall be presumed to have held a reasonable fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily injury to self, family, or a member of the household when that force is used against another person, not a member of the family or household, who unlawfully and forcibly enters or has unlawfully and forcibly entered the residence and the person using the force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry had occurred.

Nice to see this section.

In your home, it is presumed that your life is in danger.

At least that's what it looks like to me.

Going to pretend intruders are clay pigeons or are you seriously going to shoot a shotgun at a stationary paper target? Do you really need to improve your accuracy with shotgun? Can I recommend full magnum buckshot loads for your first shoot.
