I trimmed my Mums up today cause I dispose of the trimmings on my weekly sunday outing, but I will pull out some individuals and get some pics so you can see what I mean. If they strecth alot and are too high from the surface of the medium I take cuts and start over with a fresh clone.

Weekly sunday outing, hehe. Sounds like u don't get out a lot, bro. Make more food with it too. Gets like spinach, that u likey. When i have a plant in my (living room with windows allround) dunno what it's called. Anyway, i allways put leaves in my wok dishes and stuff like that. It must contain some vitamins and stuff, one would think, hehe.

14 nov. update
Okay - i painted the trays and reservoirs and put them in the setup looking like this:

Here u can se the left hight to the ceiling. The plant's max hight would be about 1m or so, but i guess that's what the 600watter can penetrate, right?
And, i think i'm gonna just mount the lamp as high as possible. When two 600w get this close, wouldn't it be fiine, or do i NEED to lower them?

I cut the tray just 2" above alu and gonna take a heating gun and bend it around the alu - just for comfortable managing of plants. Will be really soft and smooth, like a babies butt.

Now i need to put a drain into this lid. I'm by the way gonna cross over, so the left tray uses the right reservoir - then the hozes wont bend. The drain for the pumt is gonna be in the lid, and the topdrainage is gonna be in the side of the tray.

A white widow got traine two days ago, and rapidly starts shooting from sides

That's today's update on the free ebb&flow.

Hi Neilspotshop
Thanks - yes i'm getting more and more happy with them. tomorrow they should be almost ready. I'm gonna put the hozes and drains in them tomorrow, and then clean them up really nice, mound the 600w hps above one of the trays, and the White Widows should be able to get in ther within a couple of weeks (might be before)

Made the drainage today - off course i use my free beverage drainage. Be very sure to put aquarium silicone in the connection. Important to make this really waterproof:
First i drilled a hole. found out firste where the bottom is gonna be, when screwed on:

"The Ultimate Free Beverage Drainage Agregate"... or just coke tops

Put on some silicone and put'em in there - easy

Also made some pots (1,3gallon) I'm painting them black with spray paint.

Drilled some holes:

And put in some mesh (i use small leca rocks) preventing leca to fall through or cover holes:

So i guess my job talking to myself here is done. For easy connecting the hozes put them in steaming hot water making them soft, and easy to screw on the coke top. Have fun. Bye

Those drains are rad, this threads bookmarked twice. Would you ever need the tables to be on wheels? I updated for ya. :)

It's actually a good idea to put some wheels under the res. It would be like one of those bedrollers, hehe. Would make it even more easy. It's a very space efficient setup. hehe yes - those beverage drains are perfect. I made them because i bought some, and when mounted they were almost 4-5 mm (1/5 inch or so) from the bottom making some water stuck in the tray. These are only 2mm making them very good for a bottom drainage.

Forgot to mention - the buckets were free also. Got them at a restaurant. They get so many and just throw them out. Contained food, that made them good for human consumption, making them also ok for plants
