60 y.old fart here. I'm growing out old skunk crosses, making some seeds and selecting for clones. This is my best pick this time perhaps. Real Skunk#1 x Kabul Baba RKS.
My toothbrush had ice in it this morning. After getting rid of the mice, fleas, fungus gnats lol in this skid row place...I think I eliminated the German roaches too. No money coming in so I'm rosin pressing excess weed and dabbing like a fiend.

I've known 3 with Panceatic Cancer both long drawn out ordeals they couldn't wait to end it

My gramps died from pancreatic cancer, he was a big man well over six feet and around 300lb. He was a shell of a man when I last seen him about a month before he passed.
My wife seen him just before he died, she told me I would not have recognized him and maybe I was lucky I didn't see him at that time.
My stepfather died within 4 weeks of his cancer diagnoses. Mom told me he never once said the word cancer.

With my Mrs friend, I hope he doesn't suffer, he is frail at 85. He had cancer when he was young and survived, he celebrated being cancer free right up to 2024. Three days ago, the day he was admitted to the hospital he called my Mrs. and told her his time was up and he wouldn't be leaving the hospital alive. They scoped him last Friday and by Sunday he was told about the pancreatic cancer.

The people who I have visited at the hospital when at the end of life from cancer, generally are getting ample doses of pain medication to keep them pain free and then it slows down their breathing until it stops.

Then there is the case of a dying person being told to let go and somehow they do. They just seem to will themselves to die.

Got most of our walk in. Path was solid ice and Mrs Pute fell so we decided to turn around and come back. Plus the wind came up.

My back is much. Just had to work out the kinks. Moving around and taking a walk sure helped. I just have to remember not to do any major lifting using my lower back. A nice jacuzzi will sure feel good.

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head...

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way..

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them..

How about recruiting Women over 50 ...in menopause!!! You think Men have attitudes!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my God!!! If nothing else, put them on border patrol.... They will have it secured the first night!

Do you take daily vitamins? A multi vitamin? You said only edibles right now smoking or vaping? I'm sorry about the conditions you've acquired over the years oldbcman I will always listen for ways to live healthier or extend my life. I'm hoping for 100 some day. With no Alzheimer's.

Hi DB, nope, no vitamins. I do my best to get my nutrition through food choices. Eat as many different colored fruits and vegetables as you can. Meat for protein but beans and lentils are good sources too. I'm pretty sure diet has something to do with a long healthy life. Your genetics will have a say in it as well.

Only edibles for cannabis, I couldn't smoke even if I wanted to. The last time I smoked some buds I regretted it. My lungs started to pain me from the smoke. It was like someone took course sandpaper and sanded the inside of my lungs. People who have asbestosis and smoke are known to die from it. That is probably part of the reason I have done as well as I have with the asbestosis. I quit smoking anything.

It's one thing to grow old but it's all together another thing to do it with good health.
Here in Canada the average life expectancy is 82 years, for the average man it is 78.8 years and 83.3 years for women.
Good luck on your 100 year goal DB, you will need it.

Some people ripped off a cut from me...lol...it's only half skunk. I am sad I lost the pure Skunk#1 for now. It may turn up in my old seeds. I do like this new 75% sk#1 hybrid I just found. I bet it has a good buzz. Those free Sk#1 seeds meant alot to me. Losing that line in my first bust hurt more than anything. In VA , that pot became a legend.

I could not have afforded out of state tuition.That would not have happened if I had not improved, actually learned, how to study starting my Junior year in High School. Basically got straight A's for my last two years.. My junior year history professor, who was a PhD, in his New Jersey (Jewz-zey) accent, branded my a: "Slider (Slida). He guessed my dollars to donuts. I rarely studied in his class either, but squirmed my way out with an A. Maybe luck Where did you attend, if I may be so bold as to ask? .

My great grandfather was 102 when he died. He was born and died in the same bed. My cousin owns that place now, was asking 17 million for it. I hope he hasn't sold it. My ancestors are buried there.
I've been poor before. I'm still not wanting to think about selling my guitars,etc...after the 2023 bust of legal plants.
I've been luckier than most, my parents are still alive though they are close to death and in hospice. I haven't seen them in a year and a half because they're on my brother's farm where he has taken them and banned me. My older brother is the son of a b**** who has ratted on me three times, the last time helping the police set me up on a perjury charge so they could seize my plants as proof of perjury.
Times are definitely tough now. I don't have a lot of friends anymore, prison isolates you and you lose your friends. I have great pot but no customers. So it's a struggle. I think I'll look up the Expensive Winos doing it's a struggle. I am growing though. Some local douchebags, the ones that ripped me off for the imposter clone, they are the only market in town where I might be able to sell some things, and the mofos took my clone and told me not to come around anymore.
