great stuff big…. cut firewood for a living as a youngster…didn’t have $ for splitter.. typically oak and madrone & eucalyptus ….madrone split like butter with 8lb maul…. actually fun, but oak n euc…. needed the 10 or 12 with wedges….you knew you put in a day of real work…
thanks for sharing amigo… nice country…
That's when I would invest in a log splitter.

Wood burning stoves require a catalytic converter in Oregon and we have no burn days here where no fireplaces are allowed to burn. In the densely populated valley here, if everyone was burning wood the air would be thick with smoke.

Most folks have converted their fireplaces to burn gas and have glass doors.
That is one of the reasons I love a RMH. No smoke once burning. Only get a little at first lite. Steam and a sweet smell of wood once up n running.

I've read about some up there in PNW running them Illegally and haven't been caught because of the no smoke coming from them.

Do they allow wood pellet stoves there?

My wifes eyes pop open at 5:00 am every morning and she hits the ground running all chipper and upbeat.........extremely irritating.
😆
I'd have to choke the daylights outta her...I now arise when my eyes open up...got up all my life at 5:30am and that's now history...even Ivan is now chilling until I arise...Dutch doesn't give a damn, he rolls with the punches...
