It took decades for Canada to gain independence from British rule, with 1867 starting the process of Canada becoming Canada. The other 2 important dates are 1931 and 1982 being the final move with the Canada Act.
We share many common bonds to this day.
Just as Canada and the US share bonds.

And we all live on this beautiful planet called Earth.
I am gonna haveta throw a rose to Canuckistan: Last time I went there I was with RedWitch, and we saw so much wild stuff:

Salmon going up a cascade with glass wall to view them.

Large boats laying on their sides with their anchors on long ropes laying on the ground with no water in sight.

Reversing waterfall <-- TINS

Whirlpool <-- Had to go through a guy's house to see it! And the guy was happy to have us there.

Tidal Bore <-- Holy shit!

Ledges at Maces Bay <-- Old story: Daddy and I hadda drop our tub of fish and swim for our lives...

Roses for miles along the road... redolent. We actually had to stop it was so nice.

And lastly, Canadians. It must be something in the water up there. Never met anyone but nice folks.

Welp, someone's gonna die ROFL

We can only hope this comes true

Commie News Reporter Approached me at J6 Pardon Press Conference... about to get schooled.

My God!!

All my dreams for my innocent-days America could come true.

What an incredibly brilliant mind -- details, names, nuances, dates, anything -- all immediately available.

The CNN twat was asking to end the interview, and he could not get away from four cameramen, not all of whom had that stigma.

That guy actually scared the shit out of the CNN dude. I bet he quits. I would.

He reminds me of Sergeant Klopfenstein in Basic. He had tusks.

great stuff big…. cut firewood for a living as a youngster…didn’t have $ for splitter.. typically oak and madrone & eucalyptus ….madrone split like butter with 8lb maul…. actually fun, but oak n euc…. needed the 10 or 12 with wedges….you knew you put in a day of real work…
thanks for sharing amigo… nice country…
I usually cut oak and split them with wedges and a sledge hammer or single bitted axe.

I remember splitting wood in my basement and having a wedge come loose and ricochet off the ceiling when I smacked it and just missed my head.

Better send ALL the rest of that shit to me before you get sick.
Closer than you would imagine. I tried the Volcano and then a different concentrate without getting symptoms and thought I was home free, but alas it just took longer for the symptoms to appear.

Looks like I will not be using cannabis for awhile to see it it goes away.

Cloudy with sprinkles, predicted to start at 40F and reach 51F.

Gym this morning and then back to getting bids on windows and a new electrical load center.

If I have time, I'll start putting together a dictionary of Pacific NW vernacular for Big and Swede, now that they live here. I sense he is ecstatic for the support, but is too embarrassed and shy to ask for it.

I've always had to split and cut my own.
Wedges? Wth are those, one swing baby.
Maybe not no more it's been a bit for me.
Last wood I split i had a machine.

I've finally learned the hard way, brain and money takes care of alot of it and of course the barter system is always accepted.
Brawn my body just won't let me do alot of stuff anymore but I do it anyway and I pay dearly for it.

Good morning friends. Another cold day here with a high of 33F today. Has not got there yet but it is sunny today so that always helps. Cold wind gusts are what bothers me more than just temperature. Makes me want to stay inside which usually ends up in a lazy mode for me.
Have a few errands planned and a family phone call at 3:30 on my plate today so another easy day so far. Giving the placed that replaced our furnace one more chance as the communications in their office is less than perfect if you want just a clean and inspect annual check. If we were broke, they could send someone today but it seems this work is on the back burner. There are not many gas guys and we wanted the guy that installed our rig to come back and do the work. Already have had bad experience with a couple other companies so there is that. I wish we had more choices. Hopefully it will pan out this time and not be forgotten like the last two calls we have made with them. I wish I knew a good gas guy but talent in the field around here seems to be few and far between or retired…

hope everyone has a sweet day, I’ll check in to see what’s going on thru the day 🥰✌️

We bought a splitter last year and it was well worth the cost. Used to split oak and hickory with an 8 lb maul. You gotta read the grain and hit where you supposed to hit. At twelve I could out split a big grown man if he didn’t know what he was doing.

Splitters are nice, I borrowed my neighbors last year
Have you seen the new drill bit that splits wood now?

‘Ol R…. would enjoy seeing you split oak/euc with knots and one swing…softwoods are a breeze in comparison and finally had welding buddy of mine make me a vertical power splitter… then hooked up with logging crew from Mendo…. an old Swede ran the show and he was one tuff sum B… until the time he ate me a new ass for not setting a choker where a nest of hornets were… he come running down the mtn and went to set and got eaten up… never laughed harder…. gave me a grin and barked few more expletives ….

I use to love to split wood. Especially if you got some good splitting wood. It’s a great workout and you are right about reading the wood. I am in no shape to take on what big is doing tho. Them days are over for me but I can afford a handsome shirtless lumberjack theses days. 😂 I love burning wood. Chopping, spitting and stacking it. We don’t have that option here as now we only have a gas fireplace which imo is just for looks. I turn it off so that that little flame that burns all the time doesn’t drain my natural gas bill. We had a wood stove in our old place which kept our house warm all winter and provided a cooking surface for soup and hot water all winter.

Nothing to it in the winter when the shits frozen, I never burnt soft wood unless it was to start a fire.
You have no idea
