They bring it because of quantity required (our dock down river holds over 1/2 a million metric tonnes) and so there is gravel available throughout many locations . We have a cple of pits but they are far away and it's not feasable for companies to drive there because the work isn't in the area . Some places further east have quarries and they just dynamite and crush and sell it right there. All the material is the same from our quarry just screened to different sizes.
