They're still making out like bandits compared to wherever it is that they came from from our 'free healthcare' alone. They get access to medical procedures worth TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars while giving back very little into the pot in taxes from wherever it is they're working at. Meanwhile, our sick and elderly who lived here and paid their entire lives need to wait longer to receive services. It's so wrong.

If you emigrate here -- or anywhere else in the world for that matter -- you should be made to wait one year and have to invest in some kind of healthcare plan in order to receive benefits. You shouldn't just be able to touch down and live off of the tax payer.
When my Mrs immigrated and I sponsored her we had to buy private health insurance from BCAA. When she was legal to work, I think she had to wait 3 months for health care coverage.

It's a bit scary to sponsor a person. My friend sponsored a woman and she left him shortly afterwards, he was still responsible for her for a couple of years and she already had a new boyfriend. Not that he didn't deserve it, he is a controlling person.
When I was doing my upgrading for college entrance a woman in my class told me she was going to marry a out of country man for 2 years and he was going to pay her cash for doing so. She went through with it.

Question for the dog owners/lovers.

Has anyone ever had any luck with those dog boots?

My guy will walk in snow/ice to the point where he starts to get frostbite. I hate limiting his walks. Snow and temps in the 20's will be the norm here for the next 6 - 8 weeks.

My dog will let me put them on, but his toes are so long none of them fit right. The dog socks will work with his long toes but are not waterproof.

3.5 years in the shelter resulted in him having really long nails. So the combination of long toes and long nails rules out every pair of boots we tried and I've seen for online so far.

He's a handsome boy and looks very alert.
Can you have them custom made.

I can wait…..Last year I owed $7,500 ….gonna be worse this year. Thanks to our gov’t changing the tax brackets without telling us.
Don’t be sad Dime. I look at it as funding First Responders, Police and other necessities to protect us. Hopefully we have learned how to cut the pork belly spending. 36 trillion in debt…stop it….

Evening folks! The nap didn't happen, so I got up and tried to be productive. This 'house-bitch' shit, is for the birds. At least I baked a cake, did LOADS of laundry, and fills some finch feeders, etc...

K is on her way home she stopped by a friend's. My 'unofficial' diagnosis is 'bat-shit crazy', but I am not a psychiatrist. Breakfast for dinner

peace

I believe the gov't gave lower income people some tax breaks this year. My Mrs made extra money this year when she was the "executor of estate'. I looked into it and found out in BC that amounts to 5% of the estate. Which she shared with her deceased friends daughter who was also an executor.
I hope we don't get dinged.
