That would be golden!I think you can buy a gfi breaker and protect everything on that circuit at the panel.

yes you can but at that point you are m protecting the whole circuit and are prone to more faults because of old or weakened condition .I think you can buy a gfi breaker and protect everything on that circuit at the panel.
I was fast at the draw in my youth but slowed considerably due to ageI did, but we were way out in the pucker brush so it took awhile to get there.
I tried to come up with some BS to cover it with my parents, but they knew it was from fast drawing. That was the local popular craze at the time, spurred by the TV show Gunsmoke and Have Gun, Will Travel.
I actually won my high school fast draw contest at .22 seconds, but the pistols were empty and so its unclear where it was pointed when you heard the hammer drop.
In fast draw contests the difference between winner and looser is hundredths of a second and the US record is closer to .20.
Obviously faster on the trigger than the draw..................
Sounds like trouble, I guess there was no point in saying you were a quick study and there would be no repeating the incident.Define trouble? I had to sell my Colt Frontier Scout and buscadero fast draw rig.
It was Dad's solution, but it worked.Sounds like trouble, I guess there was no point in saying you were a quick study and there would be no repeating the incident.
If you can change a receptacle it's not a bad idea to shut power and open each one and install new.yes you can but at that point you are m protecting the whole circuit and are prone to more faults because of old or weakened condition .
less call backs
Fast drawing a single action Colt is a niche skill, with limited practical market value this day and age.I was fast at the draw in my youth but slowed considerably due to age
Ostensibly I would want to change the outlets to accommodate three prong plugs, as long as they are protected by ground fault with no ground wire.If you can change a receptacle it's not a bad idea to shut power and open each one and install new.
It is IMHO and experience when you get into a apt type situation invariably some one has plugged a heater in and cooked something whether a wire or a receptacle
I just think if you are talking 2 rooms that perhaps 8 recepticalsOstensibly I would want to change the outlets to accommodate three prong plugs, as long as they are protected by ground fault with no ground wire.
The fellow who I bought my St Bernard from had shot and killed his younger brother in a hunting accident. I can't image the torment he went through. If your Dad's solution prevented future problems and caused you to reflect on your actions, then it all worked out.It was Dad's solution, but it worked.
Having Sal around is just like having me around except you dont call him JoeI just think if you are talking 2 rooms that perhaps 8 recepticals
you could do it with the circuit breaker off and not call a electrician.
I wish you lived close to me or my cousin Sal
I wish you did too! Replacing the load center is easy enough, but it is a rental and I would need to permit it, which means I need a licensed electrician for the inspector to sign it off.I just think if you are talking 2 rooms that perhaps 8 recepticals

It is actually two bedrooms, one upstairs, a living/dining area, kitchen, bath, and full daylight basement, which includes a garage.I just think if you are talking 2 rooms that perhaps 8 recepticals
you could do it with the circuit breaker off and not call a electrician.

You slow draw now?I was fast at the draw in my youth but slowed considerably due to age
You slow draw now?
