I met a couple Pitbulls that the owner should have been put down for, but my experience with the breed on balance is that they are exceptionally sweet. The problem is the ones bred for their aggression.
Many times the owners encourage it,get a youtube video or selfies. The dog is doing what it thinks the owner wants or the owner is a weak leader and the dog has to take the lead

My favorite breed has been the Great Dane. Big ole goober’s. A shame they don’t live long. We had one that peaked at 197 pounds. He got poisoned by some people that I’d love to put up against the wall. I’d put a bullet in them so fast, and I’d sleep well that night.
When it happened I had to force my mind off it. Or else I’d have gone back to prison. And longer than a couple years that time.
It always strikes me as ironic, people are so against the Ten Commandments, hell. Ever stop and think that maybe Gods Law of “thou shalt not kill” is the only thing stopping some folks from outright killing? Some folks need to be culled. Sorry, I said what lots of others think.

Related but a Different breed.

Smaller with boxier heads

Plus AKC allows you to register a staffy or an American Pitbull as a staffy

Add edit:

Now that I think about it my neighbor has a staffy. It's run out and bit me unprovoked and it's lunged for my dog several times. My dog never reacted.
I was around pits. The best were 40lbs or so. won't have them around the kids. For a while, I carried a pistol when I cut the yard. A neighbor's bit another neighbor. Once , I had to keep a raised lawn-mower between me and the dog. He had it put down and paid my neighbor's med bills.
The plan is to fly into Schiphol, take the train into town and check into the

Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam. I always stay there. In the old part.

See the sites, take the train to The Hauge to see Girl with Pearl ear-ring and View of Delft.
With a bit of research, I'll find a bitch, Karma, and bring her home. I'm ok with paying for her seat.

I had to put my pitbull down early this year. Raised her from four weeks old. Was my baby. She started getting aggressive with my kids and my wife. And my kids were not taunting or messing with her, ever. She was jealous, of me I think. I did all I could do. But when she crossed that line I had no choice. Shot her, and threw up. It upset me that much. I miss her

When I hear people spout that bull about “ there are no bad pit bulls, only bad owners”. That’s the most ignorant statement I’ve ever heard. Most pits I’ve known were good dogs.
With any dog you run the risk of a bad dog. And a 100 lb pitbull that will turn on you is a very dangerous thing.

She never scared me but a few times she did make me stop and think about the situation. She was just too aggressive. These “ethnically challenged” “breeders” are ruining the breed. Down in the southern states any stray you see is going to be at least part pitbull. You can’t just stick two dogs together and make puppies. Sure you can. But like our plant we love, breeding needs direction, you should be very selective.

So true.

I've seen where a young girl will adopt one and treat it well for years, no signs of aggression in the dog. Then one day the dog turns. Everyone that knew will say she loved that dog and they got along so well.

I wish people would stop breeding them so I don't have to see them wasting away in shelters. It's sad for so many dogs.

All of mine have been between 90 and 100 lbs without being overweight according to the vet.

The people that go for the pedigree and show it to their friends kill me. They have no idea what they're even looking at nor have the personally seen any of the dogs ancestors in person so what difference could it possible make beyond it won some medals and certificates?. This pup came from Hans from dinngerhaus like I'm supposed to be impressed and that's what makes the dog more expensive. If the dog is good example of it's breed mentally and physically it don't matter who bred it. I used to sell pups for $500 and not one got returned for being stupid, shy, or developed health issues early and the parents all listened to me free lead. Now I see pups for 3k sold from people who haven't a clue and in some cases the dogs they use aren't even trained and spend the day in a cage..People are always f'n around with dogs, after the war the English tried to rename and claim german shepherds and call them alsatians.
$500 is cheap. A guy I really didn't want to sell to counted out $100 bills and when he reached $1500, he left with a pup. I gave another of the same litter to a friend. Says Sugar-Toes was the best dog he ever had. That was the 1 Crash came out of.
When buying a GSD, look at the Xrays/reports, hips and elbows

A neighbor has 2. I is cool the other isn't trained. I've seen her drag Kay across the year...

Yes $500 was a bargain for a registered pup,I stopped because I was worried about the owners not giving the pups a proper home . Shepherds are labeled as dysplastic but they are the breed that gets tested the most. I never had bone issues,(the one I have now is really big so I hope I don't have any with him). My dogs all stay outside 99% of the time. People having them in the house too much is bad for them,it makes their immune system weak and they become generally weaker and it's bad for the coat, they need that tough environment.

Most people shouldn't own dogs, they should be in the shelter instead.

We had a neighbor across the street when we lived in NJ who owned 3 labs. Never walked them.

When she had to take them to the vet it was like a comedy routine trying to get them 25' from the front door to the car. The yellow one drug her around the yard a few times. I wish I had video.

She would always remark to my wife about what a gentleman our PB was on a leash.

Another neighbor had a lab who that came out of nowhere and attacked my first PB when I was walking him. That lab was so lucky he was a super docile dog and didn't retaliate.

I know more people that should not own dogs than I do people who should.

I waited in "catch-up" silence regarding the strange weiner dog behavior quote.

I happen to know that daschunds are MANY times more likely to bite their owners (or anyfukkinbody else) than any other breed on earth.

They are basically untrainable in that area.

Short "Don't fuk with Unca" story:

I was walking along on a sidewalk wearing shorts. A daschhund came running up behind me and bit me on the calf of my left leg. The first inkling I had there was a dog around is when he bit me.

I turned, and punted the little piece of shit. Got him so perfectly, he went completely across the street to the sidewalk on the other side. Dead on arrival.

Good Morning All (OF's):

Well, some good news on the horizon. Mrs cola is no longer in need of emptying her stomach.
And, just a few minutes ago was able to eat two bites of yogurt and a half cup of chicken stock.
Doctor appointment is still on, but think we will forgo discussing the trip. If she's eating all good.

Wishing each and every one of you, a pleasant morning, wonderful day, and outstanding evening.
I am currently pretty tied up with projects and work, so wanted to start with a daily check in hello.
Today is Sunday. An ordained day of R&R. So, let the enjoyment begin. Glad for the break. TGFW!

See you all tomorrow (again)! (y):)
