I've already gone around with someone in this thread about the breed, I won't mention names. In the pitbull thread we have a genius who thinks PB owners should have to get a special license. As if a funking license helps stop bad people or stupid people from doing dumbshit.

According to AKC there is no such thing as a pitbull
I was doing a job and they had a pit bull , tied up
we were working on the garage
I worked in the house and was concerned because a Black woman lived there ,and I felt he might be protective and me being a little different.
She let him in and he was behind a dog gate.
His name was Rock
I yelped his name ,he looked at me and proceeded to cool down the room with his tail.
He was fattening he was so sweet
He was a med pit with a huge heart
He was loved at home and it showed
I used to visit him!

Yeah I don't bother with akc or ckc or that stuff. Show dogs are mostly good looking and personally I think the owners look like morons running around with the high leash and shit.

Now that I think about it my neighbor has a staffy. It's run out and bit me unprovoked and it's lunged for my dog several times. My dog never reacted.
I met a couple Pitbulls that the owner should have been put down for, but my experience with the breed on balance is that they are exceptionally sweet. The problem is the ones bred for their aggression.

The people that go for the pedigree and show it to their friends kill me. They have no idea what they're even looking at nor have the personally seen any of the dogs ancestors in person so what difference could it possible make beyond it won some medals and certificates?. This pup came from Hans from dinngerhaus like I'm supposed to be impressed and that's what makes the dog more expensive. If the dog is good example of it's breed mentally and physically it don't matter who bred it. I used to sell pups for $500 and not one got returned for being stupid,shy, or developed health issues early and the parents all listened to me free lead. Now I see pups for 3k sold from people who haven't a clue and in some cases the dogs they use aren't even trained and spend the day in a cage..People are always f'n around with dogs, after the war the English tried to rename and claim german shepherds and call them alsatians.

I had to put my pitbull down early this year. Raised her from four weeks old. Was my baby. She started getting aggressive with my kids and my wife. And my kids were not taunting or messing with her, ever. She was jealous, of me I think. I did all I could do. But when she crossed that line I had no choice. Shot her, and threw up. It upset me that much. I miss her
When I hear people spout that bull about “ there are no bad pit bulls, only bad owners”. That’s the most ignorant statement I’ve ever heard. Most pits I’ve known were good dogs.
With any dog you run the risk of a bad dog. And a 100 lb pitbull that will turn on you is a very dangerous thing.
She never scared me but a few times she did make me stop and think about the situation. She was just too aggressive. These “ethnically challenged” “breeders” are ruining the breed. Down in the southern states any stray you see is going to be at least part pitbull. You can’t just stick two dogs together and make puppies. Sure you can. But like our plant we love, breeding needs direction, you should be very selective.
