The polite way to say queer in NJ when I was a kid, was to refer to the person as a Cape May Goodie.
When I was a kid, queers sorta hadn't been invented yet -- Never a topic of conversation anywhere with anyone anytime. Just... not. Nobody in our school. Not "avoided", just never noticed or thought of.

No interest, no givvashit, no opinion for a topic we never thought of or heard about in the newspaper or radio.

You might equate it to how you think today about the lifestyle of the Hairy Ainu -- You dunno, you doan care, you do not discuss it with others. <-- And it is NOT incessantly blasted in your face on the news, in parades, etc.

Dayum, Unca!! Thassa bitchin' kewl comparison. A perfect example. Let's talk Hairy Ainu all day if we must, but follow their example and not that of the LGBTQetc:

The Hairy Ainu don't advertise. They just keep to themselves and do their thing.

For over 17 years I used coffee grinders to grind me weed.

I bought one to use because use organic fert from builda soil and I grind it a wittle.
I got another one when I got my raw 6 shooter and when I make prerolls.
I give a lot of them away.
till I was educated about dry vaping❤️😊
Just had dinner .nice mashed with peas and some pork belly.
Im partial to pork😊

Do you remember Sea Hunt?
OMIGAWD Now ya done it.

That show was so completely... reviled? shamed? unintended comedy? by scuba divers of that era. Yeah, me.

Here's one you can all see: Lookit the picture of the dude climbing up onto the boat. Where's his dive mask?

Why... it is right where the slightest touch will put it overboard, asshole! You either leave your mask on, take it off and hold it in your hand by the strap, or pull it to your chin.

That way, you can dive your second tank.

I remember one show where a scuba diver was tangled in seaweed. No shit. Couldn't get away. Oh, my. Stuff like that.

OK, more trivia from your Ancient Unca: They were always cutting the air hose of divers in fights. Yeah. The air hose on the left, which is the exhaust hose -- put there so your bubbles come out behind you. Nevertheless, every guy with a cut exhaust hose was hors de combat.

SOOPER DOUBLE USELESS TRIVIA YOU WILL REMEMBER TO YOUR DYING DAY:

1. The regulator is on your back attached to the tank (see pic 1 above). That means you have to pull air through a weight of about ten inches of water to get a breath. Difficult, really. Sorta like cupping your hand over your nose and breathing the restricted airflow. Not impossible at all, though.

2. This was before pressure gauges were invented. So how did you know you were running low on air? The 5" disk regulator would suddenly ring like a bell each breath you took.

Damn. I am old.

Good Morning All (OF's):

Hope everyone is having a nice holiday season thus far. Ours have been a little bit eventful.
Mrs cola is not feeling well, and pehaps has come down with the nasty covid, or perhaps flu.
We won't know until she gets to an appointment on Monday. Might need to cancel our trip plan.
So it goes in life. Far too old for drama anymore, though she seems more inclined. It is what it is.

Wishing each and every one of you, a pleasant morning, wonderful day, and outstanding evening.
I am currently pretty tied up with projects and work, so wanted to start with a daily check in hello.
Today is Saturday and we're upon the weekend & Sunday. Am glad for the two day break. TGFW!

See you all tomorrow (again)! (y):)

That's when I bought my X-Ray glasses from a comic book advert. LOTTA birthday money shot. But it was a wonderful lesson to learn -- it has helped me make better financial decisions during the following 75 years.
Hmmm - I remember those X-ray glasses advertisements - and I wonder what was your main reason for finally ponying up the funds to actually buy a pair? - had to send real money thru the mail in those days too - so no where near as easy as ordering anything today -

My dad told me he saved up for some X-Ray glasses. They finally came in and obviously didn’t work. He said he was upset about that. When you get .16 cent a week, that’s a hard lesson to learn.
He told me a story of breaking a shower curtain rod while horse playing. Cost eleven dollars. Said it wiped him out completely. He didn’t play on the next one though.

Cloudy but dry today starting at 44F and predicted to reach 52F.

I started an interesting book by James Patterson about Jeffrey Epstein. One sick puppy.

No gym today, so back to Auto Cad this morning detailing the mods to my latest dab pipe mouthpiece. I'm flattening the mouthpiece more and reducing the carb hole to .150 inches for a constant bleed.

Believe it or not, I wuz young enough not to be interested in the salacious sales pitch for any reason other than I wanted to see the fingers of my hand as if in an X-Ray.

This was at a time when I got a pair of Buster Brown shoes, and was able to use the dangerous X-Ray machine to see my feet through the shoes -- So the idea of X-ay was not so foreign... I just thought the glasses might work.

My dad gave his mom a set of these cups around 1967. From a long gone department store. He said they did not cost him very much. I have two left from the set. And it’s one of my favorite mugs. Grandma has been gone 14 years, and pops just turned 68. I often think of that eleven year old boy and his gift to his mama. Time flies if you live long enough.
