Chihuahua the little dog with a big personality. I think they are cute.
They are surprisingly good guard dogs, especially indoors, but both indoors and out. My only issue in getting another pet is that we are considering plans future wise to take extended vacations during the colder months. So, not sure about that. I would not want to trust penning, and believe my ever dwindling (think old age) friend group wouldn't want to do so.
Ivan would do great at a dog park while on a lead...it's when he's off lead that would prompt him to run thru/over other dogs...he's shown an attitude toward small breeds and anyone near his fence...Dutch and I traveled everywhere together, even a 4 day stay at the hospital...that'll never happen with Ivan...commands and logic doesn't work when he's not able to be at my side...he's fine at home but he's a bull...
Speaking of "bulls" Boo, what happened or was the outcome of your dominant male porky pig, whose given name eludes me now? I was hopeful that you applied the axe handle to him, or some other humane means, before he first got you again. Having done extensive hiking in our Aloha islands, I have encountered singular bulls, and mother pigs with kids, that have been native there now for over a thousand years. They are worrisome to encounter, but more so if you ever were injured and unable to get yourself out of the rain forest. Like being dinner. Always per protocol hiked with a partner for this very reason. and very rarely traveled mauka into the forest alone unless there was a real "need", and then was uber cautious getting in and out in A.M. Was both lucky and younger.then. Never would go mauka alone now.

I feel for you, I would like to have a cat but feel I'm too old and the cat would out live us. Loving your pets gets a good hold on a person and you don't want to see anything bad happen to them. We don't know what's going to happen in the future our plans can change.
I met a couple who had wanted to retire to a mountain lake cabin, which they did. Living there less than a year one of the couple got very sick and had to be close to the city for treatment. Their plans changed just like that. My friends bought their life long dream cabin.

I talked with my doctor today, she was suppose to phone me at 5pm, she called at 10:30am.

My lab work came back with no issues. I'm quite happy with that.
She will sign my papers so I can maintain my personal cannabis production license.
If I want to find out why some of my finger tips are going numb, tingly and turning blue I will have to go into the office.
She told me my Mrs could bring the cannabis paper work in and she will fill it out the same as last year. Then I can use the in office appointment I had in January instead to get my fingers looked at.

She sent in 3 months worth of prescription medication scripts to the drug store.

all is well in the pen...Bosco was pissed at Ivan for eating one of the triplets and took it out on my...should have known when I saw this hackles standing up...the bat sits idle for now...the hogs really don't like Ivan...he's gotten great about backing off, laying down, and leaving if he's told to...yeah, the cutters on Bosco are long and sharp, never seen them until he showed me his wide open mouth in anger...I have more respect for him now...they all like their backs noses scratched but you gotta be careful, they will nibble on a stray finger...

When I was in high school a girl I knew told me her grandfather had a heart attack in a pig pen and they did a bad number on him. We used to play tag in the pig barn at a friends and run over their backs, some of them are nuts, you have to be careful they don't mess around. They would bite off each others tails.

Evening folks! For being busy, I didn't accomplish much. K went to the doctor. BP 140/90 and no meds? Ran a bunch of tests. Said it might be 'auto immune', like she's been saying for at least 2 years...Made it by the compactor with a truck LOAD. 9 bags of trash and the boxes from the propane tanks. At least I scored 8 decent sized 2x4's. They'll come in handy, evenutually.

Spaghetti for dinner

peace
