The problem with doing that is that you lose out on the "high price" clientele who want or acquire an aggressive dog simply to scare, or alternatively, for protection. Like a security dog for the house perimeter, or for internal safety. And, yes. The problem is the obvious. At some point in time with enough testosterone or adult genetic coding they can turn and become the aggressor of their ancestral time. I have been bitten by dogs that were not my own, so am very leery of dogs, in general. They can make a very nasty bite and infection, hit arteries or veins, or even lose an appendage. At some time in the future I may get a very small dog again, perhaps a chihuahua, for their internal sentience. Not sure.
Chihuahua the little dog with a big personality. I think they are cute.

How are you Nanny. Haven't spoken to you in awhile. Don't be such a stranger here. We have fun.....most of the time.
Well, you know how twitchy mice can be...I'm only conservative in certain areas of life, so I sorta stay out of you guys' way, most of the time. When you see me here, it might be because I'm feeling like getting twitchy and looking for trouble. Sorta like going into a bar...with intent to get rowdy. Not this time, tho.

gotta stand up for the good animal breeders, tho. Some know the faults of the breed and line, work to improve it. We sure worked at that. My remaining ol show kitty, 20+ years old, just lost a canine tooth, first tooth loss. It was never a money making deal for most of the breeders that I knew. Even though that part of my life is in the past, I'm happy for my part in letting a great family of critters go forward. We had genetic research done, to calculate genetic risk factor likelihood, physical testing (went to spot testing, after a few years). We did show, but not for prestige, as much as having knowledgeable judges handle and 'critique', as another way of knowing if we were heading in the right direction. I hated selling pets. HATED. The 'hoops' that breeders have people 'go through' are, I would say, necessary for all involved.

I like a good explosion, they are impressive. When I worked at the dolomite business we would have to go to the quarry and blast. I loved the explosions, not as grand as some mining sites but impressive never the less. That was the fun part...bringing the huge chunks back and crushing them was not fun.

When I caught a counterfeiter passing fake money at my grandparents dinner and had to testify in court. We received bomb threats, it was a little unnerving.

What is a line bred dog? Never heard that term before.

hello and a very good day to you Sub:)
That's a good question, and the answer depends on a few things. First, is who you are talking to, as there are so many interpretations of that. Another thing would be about the species and/or breed.

I've had chicken people say that line breeding is taking a rooster and mating to daughters, then to daughters of those daughters, etc. Other chicken people will say that it's like inbreeding, but 'less intense'. Say, mating cousins as line breeding, compared to... mating bro to sis or father to dau or mother to son as inbreeding.

Others will say that line breeding is sticking to a certain 'family' that is within a breed. In pigeon racing, there was a multi-generation family, that ended up with a big batch of siblings that lived a long time. Most of the siblings were involved in pigeon racing, and they made a lot of money with it. So, over many decades, that family had sold birds far and wide. Some people will have plenty of genetic room within that family of birds to do well just staying within that family. For instance, they could get their breeding stock from Mexican-bred birds, German-bred, or Great Britain, etc...and all have a good percentage of the original family of birds. That can also be considered 'line breeding'.

Ok, I watched it 5 times. That's enough. Seems like the audience appreciated the explosion.

We were cleaning out this old mountain cabin to use and it was decided to burn as much as possible.
We had a very sizable bond fire going and someone threw something in the fire that exploded. It created a good sized fireball and it was coming right in my direction. I thought I might die or be cooked, it stopped as suddenly as it started. For a moment I was worried.
I don't know if an exploding aerosol can could do such a thing or not?

I believe in 'working dogs'. Lots of respect to both the 'junk yard dog' and the dog that you can leave home with him on the porch, and know that nobody is getting past him, but he'll leave the passers-by alone. Some very good 'junk yard dogs' just don't belong at the playground, tho.

I'm not one to believe that good parenting always produces good kids. I also don't believe that there's no such thing as a 'never a bad dog, just bad owners, or just bad breeders'. It's usually way more complicated than that. A sleeping dog that get its balls stepped on is likely to react instinctively. Gotta remember where the dog came from, and that the instincts are there. Had a show judge once remark that there's two distinctive types of cat: instinctively a biter or a flighter.

I’m not really sure what it is. I thought it was when the breeders were trying to get certain traits in the dog. Good day 2u2 old man.

I’ve been busy cleaning and decorating and more wrapping today. I’m not big on Christmas decorations but we are hosting the family Christmas this year.
I don’t have a big tree. Here is a picture of it.
Hope your evening is good old man.
