can remember what a big deal it was to get Coors in Oregon ….. worthy of smuggling….
Growing up, Coors was illegal in Oklahoma at the time because it wasn't pasteurized, so it was rarer but a highly prized commodity and was typically brought in from Colorado by the bootleggers.

It was what all the cool cats drank but I personally liked the taste and price of Schlitz better.

I remember years ago I mean a lot of years ago like 50-60. There was a coors plant near my grandparents house in Ardmore, Oklahoma where we visited them every summer I wonder when they changed?

I was very disappointed when I finally tried coors we couldn't get it in Florida cuz the alcohol content was too high then.
Now days its all drive thru liquor stores and drinks on the go.........progress eh.
We call it Colorado Kool Aid here. Very few Colorado residents drink it.

Can’t remember the last time I had a hangover. I simply don’t enjoy getting that wasted any more. Same with marijuana. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a nice buzz.

I can’t remember much but Coors merged with Miller…..could have happened then.
Maybe so. It was in the 60’s
I just remember it as they lived in the city which I had never been exposed to at that time. The city was very interesting to me compared to farm life I was use to. They were on welfare too and I remember them having the good government cheese which they would send us home with as we couldn’t afford it. My granny drank beer all day Schlitz in the quart size bottles poured in to tiny glasses. Funny what you remember…

It would have sometime after 1961 when I headed off to bootcamp.
Tastes like liquid ass.
😆
I smuggled an empty Coor's can into the Blitz brewery on a tour and held it up during the introduction in the hospitality room and said I found it under the table.

I asked the speaker if they also made Coors and they said no, they used it for the sky blue water.

Morning folks! The sun is shining and it doesn't seem as windy. Just a few things on the list today, mostly medical stuff for Becca and me.

peace

I don’t like any pilsner beer. Makes me burp and gives me a bloated feeling. To carbonate……Amber Ale for me.
