I grow a few short plants in 5-gallon buckets in our fully enclosed rear courtyard, but not in our fenced back yard that is visible from my neighbor's upstairs window and anyone who walks over from the sidewalk and looks through the top lattice on our 6' fence.
We have a lot of foot traffic by our house, so I also worry about smell growing outdoors.
We use a dehumidifier in these parts indoors and keep all the leaves moving with forced circulation, because of our high humidity. I even see rampant PM on outdoor shrubs in our neighborhood during the wet months.
I am unworthy.
Ahh - Jimmy Durante - had the most famous nose is show business - once upon a time - but my favourite was always W.C.Fields - used to see them on the big screen when I was a nipper at Saturday morning pictures - at the old Granada cinema - for 3 old pennies - or 'thrupence' - as we used to say -

the Sen Sen story
there was guy in the next town when I grew up in the 50’s
his nickname was Sen Sen Lagrue
he was about 20 and was the size of us 8 year olds
we went down to the Locks to smoke ill gotten cigarettes[we didn’t inhale]
and he chased us until we hid in the local bank
when we finally had the guts to come out he offered us a “smoke"
guess he thought we had talked to some one big
we avoided Sen Sen at all costs
