I have a CO2 BB pistol which can fire pretty rapidly. My wife doesn’t want me shooting at him so I just shoot randomly into the woods. That gets the bear moving. Her reasoning is I am luring it into the yard with my bird feeders even though they are bird feeders not bear feeders. It isn’t worth arguing

If it was me in that situation ,I would be more afraid of my wife than the bear

I am not supposed to shoot a BB gun much less a shotgun in my backyard. My neighbors haven’t given me any grief about the BB guns but if I was blasting my shotgun in the backyard, one of them would undoubtedly call the police.
