Mostly cloudy today starting at 43F and predicted to soar to 45F.

Off to Christmas dinner at our friends who reminds me of Martha Stewart, as she always has lots of unique canapes and tasty meals.

Well, likewise going out to eat today. For us a bit of a record, twice in a week.
They have a nice buffet here with oysters and crab legs. Two of our favorites.
We don't eat many creatures so this will be a little bit of an extravagant treat.

I hope everyone's Holiday's are truly joyous, with some fun for everyone here
My dear mother taught me to pray for those I did not have good relations with,
so I'll do that too. Hard to think that one day we'll be gone just like our parents.

I remember my dear older friend telling me the hardest part of growing old was
losing your friends. He passed on pretty early, about 30 years, now. My old dad
has been gone for almost 55 years, and my dear mom also, now 30. Time flies.

Enjoy your friends and loved ones near to you now. Soon we'll all be memories.

Morning folks. Oldest boy woke us up at 4:45 this morning. Had to put him back to bed. I didn’t sleep well after that. Try to catch him before he wakes the baby up. Santa brought fireworks. Hope the wildlife don’t mind.
26 this morning. It’s been unusually cold so far for our winters.

Good morning all and Merry Christmas

We were going to fix shrimp last night but the grease might fuck up my wifes Gallbladder so we had a ribeye and twice baked.
Yep it now started acting up, she goes in the 2nd to see what's up.

This has really been a shitty holiday so far next year there's talk of getting my folks up here, one time before something happens to them.
I'll probably run down and get them, my dad scares the piss out of me gaulking and driving.

The ice will be going to shit again this year, we got rain and 40's coming in.

Sorry to be a bummer, hope you have a Great day.

I always heard a low fat diet was hard on the gallbladder. That it caused bile to stagnate in the gallbladder and turn to stones.
I hope that’s true because I always eat the fat!!

Yes. Was about 100 feet in a georgia pine tree. It fell out some months later but it was a salvage at that point. All electronics were ruined.
I mounted our satellite dish about 50' up one of our 120 year old Douglas Firs and got there using a ladder to reach the lower limbs of an adjacent younger Hemlock and climbing those limbs until I reached the lower limbs of the Fir, where the limbs were spaced further apart but I was still able to continue climbing until I reached the level I wanted.

I carried a bundle of 1/2" Dacron lines/rope from the sail bag with me and used haul up my tools and the dish, as well as to tie off a limb that was in the way, so as to gracefully lower it to the ground after cutting, just like you see the pros do it.

When I sawed off the limb about the size of neck, it snapped the line like it was twine and wiped out a section of our cedar fence below.

The funny part was forgot to untie the line that I used to haul up tools and equipment before climbing down and decided it wasn't worth climbing the tree again to untie it, so about 25 years later the 1/2" Dacron polyester line remains and will still support my weight if I hang on it. It is mostly shaded from UV, which may be why it has lasted as long as it has.

Good Morning All (OF's):

Today is a day or R&R. Prepareing for a vacation with a little feasting to enjoy.
Hope your day is good for everyone here. Even those who are already gone.

Wishing each and every one of you, a pleasant morning, wonderful day, and outstanding evening.
I am currently pretty tied up with projects and work, so wanted to start with a daily check in hello.
Today is duly considered a "hump day". So, I hope and trust all of us will get over any big humps!

See you all tomorrow (again)! (y):)

Good idea chauffeuring your folks! We let Grayfox's grandfather drive about 25 miles from their old home to their new apartment in a retirement village and he rolled the car within 10 miles.

Fortunately neither of them was seriously injured, but we junked the car and got him an electric golf cart instead, to get around the village and to an adjacent shopping mall!

Whut OR said! Fat is contraindicated for folks with gall bladder issues and an often results in severe attacks.
Unfortunately dairy and fatty grease shit ain't no good for gall bladders
Yup.
