Well that's encouraging Wolfie - if I'm fortunate enough to ever make it to 80 - then I still have 15 years and 3 months to go - - at nearly 65 I'm always finding fencing and poles/bars to work out on/with - utlizing part or all of my bodyweight - outside in the suburban environment these days on street furniture - so trying to not have to do so much in the gym - 'cos it gets kinda boring - always the same routine - so I find other ways to get a good pump -

Ahh - that park bench over there - looks like a likely candidate for low incline presses - here goes 3 sets -
I will worry about it when I’m 80….until then party on.

Yeah, the gym is boring, which is how I ended up fencing and doing martial arts. It added competitive game to the exercise that kept it from being boring.

Alas, now that my two artificial knees and bad back thwart my ability to compete in sports, I'm stuck with the gym and only keep it up because I feel so much better when I exercise regularly.
Ya - I know the feeling of guilt and not feeling right - if I miss more than a day of being active - occasionally I do need just one day off -

- Once you have been regularly training for a few years - it develops within you this physical conciousness - that nags at you - if you start to get lazy - or don't even stretch - then I also get back pain too - so gotta do it - gotta keep it up - or I'll fall apart - much more quickly methinks -

respect

then there are the ones who don’t..and they eat some childs face-off

elfin pit bulls....,.put em all on a barge and feed to the sharks

Please don't kill my dog because of idiots who have no business owning a potentially dangerous breed. There is at least a dozen more breeds that could replace the 5 million PB's in the US and be far more deadly all things being equal.

I equate that kind of thinking with people who want to ban AR15's because they are "weapons of war".

Ahh - found an old pic of meself - on a toke stop - I was in Laos - on the road from Vientiane to Ulang Prabang - must be early 2000's - on a Honda moto-cross bike - fun - adventurous days -
Fun to look at old pictures. I just had to replace my computer so am going through old files and pictures as well.

I was looking for a picture of my Confederate States of America boarding saber, so put saber in search and what came out was about a 1970 picture of me saber practice fencing the then state saber champion, Rich Wayland. He always beat me but he did help hone my saber skills.

I'm the fencer on the left caught in the start of a fleche attack and the fencer on the right is Wayland. My Maestro, Albert Manley is the man judging on the right and I don't remember the fencers name judging on the left.

I had to kill a couple of those exact dogs last year.
They bit my wife and killed my jack russell.
I held the owner to account.

Sunday is my day off and I otherwise go to the gym every other day and just ride my stationary bike on the in between days.

What I find is that I'm more pain free, including my lower back, after a workout and Jacuzzi. A lot of that is undoubtedly the Jacuzzi because a heating pad helps my lower back at home.
