As long as we are talking about good neighbors, I just gotta pass this on:
My little red i-2000 Honda generator had not been used for a coupla years. I had put it away properly, but when I went to test start it, the soft bubbly plastic air filter had sorta melted and it got sucked into the carbonator.
Keith, about 600' down the road is in the bidness, and told me he'd fix it for me when I axed. I have a 6250W Generac I will never use because it is a pull-start... and my shoulders will come apart if I try to use it. So I told him he could have it if he wanted it.
He said, "Well then, I'll fix your Honda for free."
So he was bringing it back, and told me the carburetor was a special voltage-control thingy, and it was not working properly -- so he had set it to run at a continuous medium speed.
But as he gave it to me, he said, "Nope. Can't do it. I won't give it back until it is like new."
He just gave it back. He replaced the carburetor!! No charge -- even for expensive parts.
I gots good neighbors.

Good neighbors seem to be a thing of the past. The neighbors that surround me are all idiots and I’m sure they think the same of me. I thought I was moving out in the country to get away from what I moved into because now I have some members of the cartel that owned two sides of my property… for some reason I miss Earl now…

they are, they both get along well with each other...it's that black dog sneaking around the blue feed barrel that's the trouble maker...I have to put a ecollar on Ivan when I go to the pen, he can't get to them but he will bang his face up trying...I never knew about black GSD's scarring their faces up so easily...none of my 12 others have had scars on their faces so easily as Ivan...his skin appears to be blue...
I mourned for you brother pute...losing a friend is losing a friend...2 or 4 legs makes no difference...I believe I will mourn Dutch's departure more than I care to think about, he's served me well for 11 years and I see the rapid decline in his ability to get up...I put a carpet where he lays before I feed his to give him traction but it's sad to watch such a warhorse move so feebily...I will destroy my back lifting him if need be...he saved my life, how many other folks can say the same about their dog...
