Yeap, freezer full of meat, fish and mushrooms to remind me of summer and help me make it thru yet another winter. Hoping for a nice snowy winter, last winter was beautiful. Way too many black winters in the last 10 years with constant rain and almost no snow.

A kindred literary soul, @BrassNwood -- I belonged to the Sci-Fi Monthly Book Club in my teenage years. Got a hardcover book every month for $1.85. And there useta be Ace Double novels <-- One paperback with two covers for 35c.

I got to see Chesley Bonestell's art at the Hayden Planetarium when Arthur C. Clarke was there...

My first two published short stories were SF. I was still in High School.

I have a question for outdoor growers. I have one plant still going outside. We had a cold night last week where it got down to 27 at my house. The plant didn’t seem affected. This morning it was 26 when I got up. A lot of the fan leaves are wilted when I went out to check them but the buds look ok. It isn’t supposed to get down below 30 for the next week or so. I would like it to ripen up a bit as I have mostly cloudy with maybe 5% amber trichs. Are the wilted fan leaves an indication that the plant is on its last leg(and I should chop it) or will the buds continue to develop(I guess it could be both)?

That hard freeze killed it. Should have taken it that morning. Her solar panels are all dead "wilted" she's gone.

My library is classics except for some Stephen King. I took Aristotle's Ethics out to read the other day. What is good? What is good for some must certainly be good for all? What is the ultimate good? Where does it fit in with government?

What's so special about Aristotle that his lists are better than mine?

I had 1 of those, not the cool 'Plus'...no 5-speed and an AM radio that didn't work. I offered to sing old Neil Young tunes but no-one took me up on it twice.
