Hate to tell @Boo but he may have no choice than to be "cut on". I had a pinched nerve (and stenosis which comes with old age) in the lower lumbar area, L1-L5 and a world class surgeon in San Antonio took care of it. There were times I'd screamed so much from that excruciating pain, have to be taken by ambulance or heli to a hospital.

Back problems vary by so many degrees, some issues can be corrected with this and that but there are times when you need a specialist to clean out the stenosis and install rods and screws so the nerves are not pinched.

yep, joe walsh was in the james gang but hell, who could hold a candle to lynyrd skynyrd when they wailed out the tune of free bird...I'm a redneck who cranks up the volume when that song comes on the box...

Just got back from the eye surgeon. Bad news for me. I have Macular age related degeneration. This will require a more complicated surgery if it can be treated at all. I have a referral to a retina surgeon. Fking great! Now at least I know why I can't see my computer screen.

Have an appointment with the eye surgeon this morning. Pre op for cataract surgery. Gonna get this done asap. Will be nice to see again.

The entire process including new glasses will take awhile however. In the meantime I will have my nose up against the screen to see.

I think that I'm up waaay before most of you - since it seems like the bulk of the Ol'e Farts are across the pond from me - but that won't ever deter me from enjoying the 'erb (even if it is only pictoral) and bonhomie present - wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas - that reminds me that I must go shopping now for even though I am nearly 64 - I still have to shop for 'stocking fillers' for my 2 teenage kids - the boys 13 and the girl is 15 now - any ideas?
