Spot on!More concerned on bruising you should be. You'll get herandous bruises from the slightest bump
some stickerless rides to start the day
Yeah - the head-honcho-heart-sparks-bloke came by ta see me - and told me that I required a pacemaker fitted - and the blood thinning drugs that are part of the package -
So the Cardiac Muscle Extravaganza - continues - (when will it ever end?)
We are so lucky to have you.Brilliant!I’ve always lived around the beach but have only been able to get up on a long board. Let’s get a giant longboard maybe 35 ft or so and try to keep up with that gazelle.
I have been on blood thinners for nearly 15 years. I had a clot in my subclavian vein twice due to a genetic anomaly. I get nicks, cuts, bruises, you name it. I even hit my finger with a hatchet. Cut clear to the bone(not sure how I stopped it before I amputated the finger). Just wrapped it up pretty good(should’ve gotten stitches probably) and I am still alive snd kickin’… I don’t know if there is a different INR target(the range of the test showing how thin your blood is) for pacemaker recipients than what my target is but I wouldn’t be concerned. They give you scary scenarios(one that made me laugh is if I bump my head, no matter how insignificant, I should go get checked for a brain bleed. I don’t and I bump my head on stuff at least weekly. They want you to stop drinking as well. I don’t drink a lot but I have a cocktail or three from time to time and haven’t bled out. Your results may vary obviously but many people live normal lives on blood thinners. It's not so much about the pacemaker that so riles me - it's about having to take any drugs that don't get me high - plus blood thinning drugs - mean that you don't clot if punctured - so it's like making yerself a haemophiliac - you have to be so careful not to get just a little nick or even paper cut - ' cos it ain't gonna clot and heal like it normally would right? - seen my old Dad with this problemo - everywhere he went was like a bloody crime scene -
