Since Your the Expert why dont you show us all your legit OG pics. If you dont have pics to post then troll else where. Sure I know what a legit Og is and I grow them every day but I also have OG crosses that will blow away almost every legit OG cut out there so why wouldn't I post it its my Thread I will post what ever I want.

I wasn't implying that you haven't got 'Legit OG's' or that i have, i was just asking 'What is a Legit OG, can the thread starter define that?'

What are the parameters that say 'This is an OG' and 'This one isn't'?

example: tahoe og-we are talking about the real cut, not CC tahoe or CC larry etc.. there are so many cuts being passed around as just tahoe or larry, but most are Cali Connection or another s1..

There are so many og's.. but I think the thread author is looking for info/pics on the well known, legit clones.. not s1's of authentic clones..

i like your tahoe but it looks like a cc pheno and not the orignal tahoe og cut.........tell me next time your in so cal and ill have you stop at a place and pick up a couple cuts of the orignal.........

Nice strain....30%........give's me hope on my quest.

Here is WHITE FIRE #43 this was found after popping hundreds of seeds we did a run where we took 2 rooms each room was 20 lights . We found many different phenos most had a 50/50 mix of White and Fire some a little more some a little less out of those seeds we kept White Fire# 27, White Fire #37, White Fire, #43, White Fire # 80, White Fire # 94 we spent the next few runs running only these phenos , All where completly different but each one was special. But one stood above the rest and it was White Fire #43. Its like if you took the Fire Og and the SFV OG and then put them together then gave them steroids. BIG FAT CHUNKY LEMON FUEL OG FUNK. And to top it off she tested 30% Thc. She is special and I will forever keep her close.

That sound about right then??? I mean, that leaves out a HUGE amount of plants that people accept as "OG" based on growth profile, flower structure, type of high, and terepene profile...and typically having an accepted "pure / legit OG" parentage...

But I mean, let's be honest - if you are talking LEGIT OG - then isn't there only ONE. I mean, really.

But we are well over 10 years into the phenomenon that is OG Kush - it only stands to reason that there are a million personal takes on which is best by now.

But what is "legit" at this point...

I dont know which OGs are 'legit' but I do know that if you make S1 from the Ghost cut you wont find any plants that resemble the Tahoe/SFV side of the spectrum only chem leaning ones. Kinda makes me think they are different strains. Back in the day(2000) my buddies that live in Ventura were always talking about the PK was the bombest OG but the pics of PK on this page look hella like SourD imo. Where is Chimera and Tom with this genetic testing theyve been talking about for so long.....

if you know og's you know if its legit or not.. its either og kush or it isnt, now theres some that may be hybrids and you can see it, like the white fire, looks ogish but you can tell its got something else in it. so if you got a good eye for og's its just all in the telltale signs, the fuely pine smell thats either earthy or lemony, swollen calyxs, its one of a kind, not many other strains are like it. some people think bubbas, chems and sours are similar but if you got a trained eye you can easily notiece the differences. also the way they grow, strecthy long spacing between nodes, a lot of 3 bladed leaves, etc etc.

oh yeah, this might be my last post i have court in the am and pretty sure theyre gonna shoot the 3 piece and take me in. might have my boy log in under my name and check in once and a while but ima be gone. sent most these og cuts to candyman so theyre not completely lost. hopefully theyll still be around for me when i come back around. we have half time in california so 3 years is really 18 months. the shitty thing is you gotta catch more then 3 years to even go to prison now or else its all in the county jail. and that there is torture.. peace yall.

So here's the thing, OG flavor is OG flavor: Even if it varies a bit, you know it when you taste it. We all probably taste things a little bit different, but to me OG's will have some or all of the following terpine/flavor components:

Pine
Lemon
Chemmy (floor cleaner/bleach)
Fuel (kerosine)
Skunk (dank green skunk-ass undertone)
Funk (musty/halitosis)

Would you guys agree w/ this? To me, Tahoe is pure pinesol flavor (chemmy, pine, lemon) whereas the strongest flavor I get from Larry is the Funk (funk, lemon, fuel).

They're all great, but pinesol is still my favorite flavor. At some point I need to start profiling them all for my own edification, but it would be interesting to hear what you guys think of this.

Also, weird how you have the classic OG nugs on some or most of these cuts and others look to be growing colas. That should have some definite genetic implications. I guess we'll all have to wait for the DNA mapping.

hi all nice thread going here. I have heard the OGKush emerged during the mid-70's, a sativa dominant hybrid from Cali that typically shows curling edges on sugar leaves on the main colas. with a 13-16 week flower period and some PM susceptibility. I haven't grown it but it sure looks like a challenge! so big up you people who take this plant on
