The Official Hempy Bucket Thread

Jo RW needs to drain, if it sits in a Rez you will get root rot, same thing with Coco Core it also needs to drain where perlite won't wick up ways. That is why I use perlite in the Rez when I run Coco core.

Flushing RW 6 times a day is a drain to waste that is not the same as this concept.

Some People in the past have filled the rez with perlite and then filled the rest of the hempy bucket with RW and that allowed the RW to drain, but it didn't work as great a perlite or Coco core would.

I am unsure of your point here are you trying to tell me I didn't come up with this concept or are you trying to tell me RW has an internal Rez I am a little confused.

You're Clearly a Fan and a fence sitter, lol.

And full of it.

Not a 'Fan', but I'll get the fence-sitter out of the way. Hempy buckets are a way to grow pot. My preferred method is 'ebb-flow'. It allows me to use 'timers' so I can go on vacation for a week, maybe more if I can get the son to top off the rezs. Lot's of other ways, rock-wool included.

The thread is about Hempy Buckets stick to the script. If you arent running these buckets keep your comments to yourselves, I'm not interested in growing little piss ant micro plants in some tiny ass cubes and already have buckets with proper holes from my hydroton recir system which I am repurposing as hempy buckets.
Exactly THIS. I've been watching this thread for over ten years, and there's ALWAYS somebody coming on here with a 'better idea'. If your idea is so great, then go start your own thread about your amazing new method. This method works great as described on PAGE FUCKING ONE! Silly rabbits!

If anyone needs any help Advice feel free to PM me.
Just like to say thanks !

This thread was part of my decision to give the hempy bucket a try. Always curious !

Did a comparison grow against another 5 gallon pail/GroBucket inserts with ProMix HP.

Feeding with Mega Crop one part.

I installed a 2" thick plug of styro in the bottom of the hempy pail to reduce the volume of medium to equal that of the ProMix HP. Drain hole adjusted accordingly

Feeding with GH Maxi series.

Came across this picture of her today, Wedding Cheesecake auto @ day 83 > dry yield +13oz.

Front Girl in the white bucket painted black ;)

I don't even know what root rot is, never seen it.

I am unsure of your point here are you trying to tell me I didn't come up with this concept or are you trying to tell me RW has an internal Rez I am a little confused.
LT said ''I am looking for something to run hydro drain to waste''. I say hey, I've been around the block and recommend trying RW. *TO LT.* (''little piss ant micro plants in some tiny ass cubes'' - ha - there's threads around here somewhere) But as my last post makes clear, 800 mL water per 1 L volume seems to me to qualify as a reservoir. Plus, I don't see why perlite is AOK but RW is the fucking devil in person. I can't imagine why RW would be more prone to causing rot than something else, and have used the 4" cubes as the support over (slightly in) a shared reservoir with great success.
