Yeh I can confirm budrot = budzilla on uk420.com. His results with fytocell (and others on the forum), have been most impressive - combining simplicity with rapid growth.
Budrot, icmag employs similar security mechanisms to uk420. Servers are hosted in the netherlands and IPs are kept for a short a duration as possible before being wiped. Also given the fact this is mostly an american forum, I'd say it's even safer than uk420 in that respect =).
I'm about to conduct a hempy bucket grow with fytocell, using modified air pots. Air pots encourage greater root development due to air pruning of the roots, see here for more info: http://www.progrow.co.uk/acatalog/info_5019.html
It's really simple, but I thought I'd post up how I modified them:
First off, you will need: silicon sealant, air pots, some bin bags and some cable ties.
I then filled the air holes just under 2 inches from the bottom with sealant and let this dry overnight, so it was fully water proof. I then cut out a circular piece of bin bag, and use the cable tie to make it into a base (I also used the base that comes with the air pots, just to take some of the weight of the medium off the bin bag).
I then put another, larger piece of bin bag over the base, covering the silicon sealant holes too. This thus makes the next row of air holes the drainage holes.
I then tested this with some water and it worked, no leaks unless I filled it above the drainage holes.
Next I added the fytocell and it could take the weight of that too.
Lastly, I added water to the pot and it could take the weight of that too. Only leaked if I filled above the drainage holes =)
As you can see it's very simple to do. I expect the more skilled DIYers on the forum can do something a bit more advanced, like gluing a a disc of plastic to the bottom, making a more secure base. I've had mine sitting about for about 12 hours now and no complaints though - but only time will tell!
Any thoughts or criticisms are welcome =)
wouldn't just setting the airpot filled with fytocell in a small drip tray with some water/nutes do the same thing? not to be a negative Nancy just seems overly complicated. granted you can pack them a little closer your way.
So... apparently I miss labeled a flat of plants 4 weeks ago and after flipping the tester plant and finding it to be male, I culled the wrong cuttings a month ago. I now have almost a flat of sausages. Good times.
