Hi all not read much since i last posted but a few things i should say first off i don't care what people do in there own grow space with my method or any other method there call but i do have a problem with people that have not even tried my method yet think there advice is better or there spin on things is law it has amazed me threw the years i am getting massive yields yet there not and i am wrong yet there right lol.

I have developed a thick skin over the years in short don't really care about much that's posted on the boards but i still do care about newbies or people trying to grow there meds if i can help i will the rest no.

The most basic things any one should be doing growing in hydro is to check your water and if its 7ph or close then your set mix your nutrients as the instructions on the bottle says which it gives you a range to be after its mixed and you feed the plants its that simple.

I have meters but i don't test i know what my water is i know ruffly what my mix is as i tested it when i changed nutrient brands and i only change my nutrient mix depending on the type of lines i am growing like i have sed some sat expressive hybrids may after they start to flower need only 1/2 strength feeding some may just need water only and others will go full feeding but sativa heavy only the rest like indicas or a indica sat line will feed and love it.

As for some nutrient mix draining out well its part of the method a little can be caught many ways NFT needs its rez emptied and cleaned one time a month its rez ph checked daily some days you need to top it up with water other days full strength nutrients other days half strength i don't know about you but a little draining out of the rez hole to me is not such a big deal i think its best put like this there are many ways to grow indoors if this is not what you want try something else.

Hey Hempy, is it ok to put straight coco in a hempy bucket or is it still best to stick with your 3x perlite to 1x vermiculite recipe? Also, is it ok to use square pots?

I'm about 40 days into 12/12. I'm still using the Technoflora recipe for success. I've been following the charts to a T since about a week into veg about once or twice a week for the most part.

I'm coming up on my flush, and as you can see on the chart, there is a flush recipe for the last week.

http://www.technaflora.com/sharedfiles/USA2RFS1REV3_2009.pdf

Does this 7 day 'flush' follow the same rules? If so, in my mind that means I give it this recipe one time, then hit it with plain water 1 time a few days later.

I guess I'm just looking for a thumbs up or thumbs down on my plan :p

On roughly July 25th (60 days from 12/12 flip) I can give them the magical+sugar daddy one time, and then roughly 5-7 days later hit em with PH water? and hopefully I'm right in the wheel house for a chop?

Hi cannabi you can get good results with 100% perlite perlite /vermic and even glay rocks but i am liking coco core a lot just fill the rez basically up to the rez drain hole with perlite or clay rocks and so on so you allow the coco to work as it should because it wicks I have a post in the coco forum on how i do it if that helps.

@ Kinglsey- I think you should follow their method this time, then next time change up some of your methods and see which way works best for you. IMO I would stick with the hydroponic formula and not go with the soil/soilless formula b/c you are indeed using a hydroponic method of growing your wonderfull ladies. I flush for the last seven to 10 days and I love my weed. I ran with sugar daddy and magical for my first year of growing and have switched to Liquid Karma in lieu of those two. For me, it has replaced a step and produces very nice things. Good luck!

Just finished a grow using only perlite and had great results, with hempy and perlite. I now want to add coco to the mix and was wondering what type of coco are people using in hempy buckets.

I was thinking of starting with one that is prerinsed and pre nuted/charged or whatnot but is only a thought.

Any and all insight would be great.

I had great results as well in 100% perlite, but when the plants got big they were unstable. I use Canna coco straight out of the bag with excellent results.

Ill be having hopefully at least 10 hempy buckets growing when I start my new perpetual system I am trying to get set up. Also hoping to be running Cali Orange Bud and Hashberry. Ill also have a few soil plants using FFOF to use as a comparison. Ill take tons of pics.

I'm flowering 2 bubba kush and 3 ecsd in 100% perlite right now and am getting some really vigorous growth so far. It is pretty light and supporting the plants is a must now that they've passed 4ft tall. perlite/vermiculite is not much better IMO. 20 years ago I was growing in an almost identical way but with the addition of sphagnum and dolomite. Nutrients were a tea of compost, worm castings bone + blood meal, etc etc etc. I guess it was technically "soiless" Watering was less frequent with the moss holding onto so much water, I assume it is similar with coco.
I am seeing great growth with flora nova bloom, floralisious + and now KB in flower in 100% perlite. The next set of clones will be divided between 100% perlite, classic hempy and coco, hydroton in hempy buckets to compare the differences. Is nutrient ph different with coco in hempy?

hi guys look i don't understand this classic hempy part i have used only perlite clay rocks for years before i even posted this method on line i have had as good in fact to date my best yield has come from coco core 21 oz cured trimmed from 1 plant grown in a 10 lt bucket.

Hempy method as people call it is the bucket with the internal rez and controlled by the rez drain hole not the mediums they can very and some have even used rock wool i just gave a formula that worked best that was proven and fool proof people can very mediums i like the perlite vermic as it holds more nutrient rich water than perlite or clay rocks but coco holds even more yet allows airation its really up to the grower wich medium they like and well also availability is key to the coco core i have only been playing with it a year or 2 now and as soon as i fine tuned it to the bucket i posted it for any that wanted to try it i my self love coco core great medium.

I'll save you the wait. Completely different! The coco we use a s amedium is from the husk of the coconut. Aften called coco coir. Check out the coco section here at IC for all the info you will need and more.

hello fellow hempy growers! i've got a question...I've noticed that with increasing temperatures of the season, that my girls in bloom take up the nutes extremley well. Given the same proportioned amount to the cuttings (as far as qty 7 strength) why would the increasing temperatures not absorb or evaoporate nearly as quickly with my cuttings?

Forgive me, for I am high, so I may have misunderstood, but if I had a guess, it would be difference in surface area between the adult and the cutting. Since the adult is so much bigger, she will absorb and evaporate more.

Just a thought!

Peace, sg
