As others have told me, its 120 days from May 26th is the cut off for finished buds. Maybe this should be added to the rules on page 1 to clarify for new people wanting to join in.

Here's a few of the 20 Sour nevilles I finally transplanted under my 150 hps.I have some others I may just throw into flower today, just for fun. They are about a week old give or take a day.Going straight to 12/12 on a few should make it more interesting considering the long flowering parents and you can grow Nevilles straight from 12/12 and still have 5ft plants...

here is a close up of the indica bud.
In the contest next time I will be vegging for 3-4 weeks for a higher yield.
this such a cool contest it deff should be a regular thing on this site. like all year long. so like every 128 days or whatever we should start a new one. just an idea.
the rest of my ladies tomorrow.

Why no clones? Id pop seeds, but I don't want to waste them, I'd either have to veg them long enough to take a cut(which could be a real issue in flowering with the rootbound and what not) , or re-veg (Which takes valuable space and a loooooooong time)

I understand that if clones were allowed, the future contests would be altered significantly but why not?

Sure would make for a crazier show...

maybe we can have a clone category next time?

rooted clone + about 2 weeks veg should have similar size with one from seed with 1 month veg, but the harvest I think would be better in most cases for the clone, so they should be judged seperately to be fair. :2cents:

I'm in.

Been a long time since I flowered anything in dirt - should be fun!

I drug out the collection and got lost for an hour. I wanted to take the opportunity to crack something I realistically would never have gotten to.

So out of the pile came these:

While rummaging about, I laughed when I looked at this really old packaging. Thought some old timers would get a grin.

Could you imagine trying to mail this nowadays - metal washer and all?

Let the games begin!

Why no clones?...

would the beginning day be the day cuts are taken from the mother plant?... or a week from root? At 4 nodes or 4", root into cloner or rooters soil.... seems like there would be a lot of variables for a full on....

sounds fun as hell tho ;)

Only 2/5 of the Blue Mstic x Ice have cracked the surface so far. Might have to pop some more beans cause the other 3 split open but I think I kept them too wet and killed them.

Couldn't get red/blue beer cups in Oz so had the squat pots which hold 512mL. Hope you guys will let me use these. :tiphat:

Here's my sour bubble babies enjoying some sunshine. They're inside a bucket to keep nosy neighbors from seeing anything obvious. I wish I could grow outside full cycle--the plants just love it. For now I just move them outside when I'm around, otherwise they're back inside.

The 2 little ones just popped up yesterday.

Hey all, I asked V these questions and it was suggested that I post them here. I f*d it up, but here goes:

Hey Von,

a couple of q's about the challenge. I only have 16 oz cups. Could I cut the top inch off of 4 of them and put them in a whole cup so that I can get another 3/4" in depth? I think it would still come in at or under the 18 oz limit. As far as roots coming out the bottom, I understand that I cant stack the cup on a pot or put it in some sort of mini aerponics chamber. But, I have clones in cups w/ roots out the drain holes, and I dont think thats avoidable. Is that ok as long as Im not trying to support the roots that poke through? Thanks

Post this q up in the thread and we all will chime in ya or nay.

Ok man?

Thanks

V

Q #1 is a moot point for me, I got some 18 oz'ers. cheers
