Hmm Neville made so much available for everyone!

Every breeder that is in business right now i think are all about average honestly.
I really dont feel that any MJ breeders have made any breakthroughs, unless you consider mutations like dizzy and ducksfoot a breakthrough.

But what do you consider valuable traits!
Is color valuable to you ? if your a dealer it is, if your a patient it makes no difference.
I think any breeders that are trying to lock down specific trait aimed toward any specific condition or treatment of a condition are the real breeder of pot.
I think all the INTERNET breeders are trying to lock down the best buzz the best yield and the best appeal. I dont follow breeders and i really could be totally wrong.
But just reading there decriptions say alot about where there motives are.

Most important breeder in history in my opinion, is Luther burbank.

GOD.. Me!

shanti realy is a don,, like he can't do what ever when ever and just take the piss lets overgrow a valley!! like you'll stop the Mob..
he was the only 1 who said day 1 I wanna be a Genetisist of marijuana and he is the only 1 doing real f1's and he's always instock always helps has a family and a grow and mother rooms works with howard and prints more cash faster than the us can rip oil out the desert, lol
his plants will be around after he is dead like sam but they will continue to be mothered!! and he has the plants from old that are dead to most of us now and can make any others..,, The duch £$£ strains, i.e his mothers (some of them Nevils, sams) his owm manufactured opperation is like pablo on a bigger better scale where he reinvented growstyles and groundbreaking technices,, mainly cloning and drying.. anyone seriously think that in there life they will grow more weight than shanti, he invented ENVIRONOMICS.. He truely is almighty and the duch scene misses him I can tell now when your there people say its crap since the downfall of shanti but he lives harder than before ,,,

In switzerland in 1 greenhouse 3000kg is a small estimate, how fat was his growrooms at the end in holland?? He to started in the field's & attics, Sam took the 1st part of haze and bread it to an afghani Hindu Kush, whilst keeping some of the rarest pips and he has a lot of speculation to his past was he working for a crew or did he live at BOWEL,, either way he traveled to Mazar and got told don't go past karbul... I need say nomore on Neville as Indifferent has said it all..

Is Luther Burbank out of the question ? While he didn't breed cannabis , he is the driving force behind all modern day breeding programs .

Shantibaba, Neville, and he's not a breeder, but just a grower that got lucky with finding the new hot shit and then shared it with the world, Chemdog. many strains that are all the rage right now come from those original genetics from that fateful midwest grateful dead run.

get 10 of the top names and do a poll, i'd vote, but better would be to rank, not that any of us should be telling these super star breeders what's what

Rez had some killer apollo 11 some years back that was some dank shit, DJ Shorts & Sam for sure hands down. does Soma fit any were in the picture??

since the scope is 'in history', i'm going to go with:

1) mother nature
2) some guy wearing a towel on his head no one has ever heard of
3) several latin fellows, same no-one-has-ever-heard-of disposition.

in a nearer scope...most of the strains i couldn't do without are for the most part collective efforts where it'd be hard to point to any one person and say 'they did it'.

I really can't hop on the "OMG Neville and Shantibaba" bandwagon because their entire stock are just crosses of genetics they can't take credit for. Skunk, Haze ...thanks Sam and Sacred Seeds.

Sam the Skunkman

Romulan Joe? Joe never created the Romulan strain, he is just the man who shared her with the world.

Neville Schoenmakers set the table for the rest. His genetics can be found from Mr. Nice Seeds.

In the late 60's and early 70's, there was a small group of guys in california and Arizona bringing in mountains of mexican and south american weed. I used to drive to Arizona twice a month and pick up 200 lbs wrapped in mexican newspaper. There were some bikers in the bunch that hired a couple of horticulturist from Berkley to cross the short flowering plants from pakistan and afghanistan with usual mexican to increase the yeild and speed up the flowering time of the mexican. It seems like those first hybrids started showing up around 74

Hybrid cannabis as we know it was invented on a dirt farm in mexico at the direction of smugglers and bikers. These roughnecks on both sides of the border gave us the first hybrids and layed the groundwork for the others that we know today to begin serious breeding work.

They were the most important breeders.
