The Mob Prophet Micro Grow

Well everything finally reached the ceiling like i wanted. The flowers are coming along nicely now and starting to put on resin. It really surprises me how much resin these things put on. I'm only at day 24 but this chambers looking nice IMO. Its super packed in there and the huge prophet leaves don't help.

these things really put on the resin. The prophet put it on super quick, and the Mob Boss is starting to make some nice buds. You can tell they'll have nice structure. The prophets should have some nice nugs on one of them. The other is gonna be a small yielder, due to pot size.

super resiny prophet. These are becomng my favorite due to aroma and resin. It seems like this Prophet in particular will be staying around. Im hoping for nice bud structure, so i can breed it with the Mob Boss during the next round.

I decided to start supplementing with a my 150w HPS just so i can maximize yield in this small spot. I'm still in awe by how much resin and how early by these strains. I decided to also let up some of the ties now that theres side branching.

Thats why i decided to throw on the HPS. Most everyone has told me to do the same, but thats also because none of my friends are micro. Than again i wouldn't be micro either if i had the choice. I'm getting excited over here seeing the day to day changes, trying to run the HPS as much as possible.

Running the HPS vertical is the way to go for now. I can see it penetrate to the back of the cab. Next time around i will be adding either a 150 or 70w double ended CMH.

The yielder is gonna be the Mob Boss and isn't lacking on resin and smells of fuel with a hint of citrus. I really need to pop a couple more seeds after this round so i can find a male.

Temps are around 75-80 thanks to air cooling the hood and the exhaust right near the opening. The plants are getting burnt at all and are almost touching the glass. It seems like the plants in the cups are gonna be a tiny yield. I wish i could fit two of those containers in there.

I really need a better way to hang this HPS, i'm running it for as many hours as i can. Constantly adjusting isnt a good option, time to get chain. The HPS is doing a great job where the floros can't. Micro grows really arent my thing but its all i can do for now.

I really gotta give you props Steele, these Prophet are easily distinguished from the Mob Boss by their frostiness. They really just pack on sugar. I have a hard time getting over it. Well here's some pix.

Day 31 is here and everything is starting to crystal up nicely.


Some of you may not believe in it, but i defoliated my plants as i've found it to work for me. I don't remove all the leaves, just the ones producing to much shade to be considered useful.


Some of them may have already started yellowing up also. I think this has helped a lot, since before the buds down low werent recieving light. After doing this the buds started getting real frosty. You can tell by looking at the Prophet in the back.

i havent been able to use the HPS for only a couple days. But it seems to really be helping since the vertical light and pruning lets the light penetrate all the way through to the back.

Them lil' micro's are doin pretty well. Amazes me how you guys can eek out that crystal with that low a wattage, fuggin' killer.

Well Steele, unfortunately i do consider this cheating since i'm using the HPS also. But that vertical HPS really helps penetrate where the floro cant.

I'm happy to hear i got some variation on the Prophet side. i think i have on chem pheno, the one in the back right that stretches like a sat. The other mo boss is light green and much more crystally than the suspected chem. but will be the biggest yielder.

This grow is really exciting me. I accidentally had burned one of the nugs on the Mob Boss in a cup. It sucks because its already not gonna yield anything due to complications its had. Today is day 39 though and looking nice.

I'm starting to think that my yield is gonna be real small due to these lights. This is my first micro grow and i think my last also. The nugs are nice and frosty but for this much time and effort.

I'd like a bigger light so i can maximize the potential of thse plants. I can tell that they have great structure and really just need good HPS placement. I think my main problem is its hard to get my HPS in this cab and only part of the light is utilized.

Maybe next time around i'll buy a DR40 so i can run my 150w. I'd like to use my 250w CMH because i like staying around 100w/sq ft. However, its just gonna be hard to stay stealth with that big of a light since i'll need a strong fan.

I finally decided to spend the money and buy a new cab along with a carbonfilter. things are getting way to stinky over here.I'm going to be running a Darkroom 40 by secret jardin next. It will be using my 150w HPS and a Can Filter 2600 so i could use an axial fan.

Things are doing nicely over here and doesnt seem like its finishing up anytime soon. I'm guessing about 4 more weeks. I have two big yielders for the light going on in this cab. Too bad that250w will get to hot.

Day 46 is here and got some more frosty pics for you. At this point in the game i consider myself to be in the countdown instead of counting up. my yield may not be large but it will be some super smoke.

This grow is really exciting for such a small space, not to mention my frist micro grow. I'm patiently waiting for my secret jardin 17"x17"x48" and carbon filter. I love these strains and thinking about keeping some mothers to hit with some C99 pollen next time.

So are the harvest windows the same for both phenos of each type around 70-80 days?

When i get the money i'm buying the rest of the beans that Steele has to offer. I love his gear, and even if i don't have room to run it, i wouldn't mind holding onto it. His strains are exactly how he promised and has been super helpful. Grindhouse is the standard for which all other beans are tested against.

yo, you should come over one of these days to check it. Its been a second since i seen you anyways. I'll learn you some if you come through regarding organics and micro grows. Like i said you should at least come through for a smoke when these finish... I'll show you my setups and try to fix you up right if you wanna get into it....

A micro grow isnt really limited its just a term to describe a small grow. I've seen people consider a walk in closet a micro grow. I typically consider anyone pulling out less than a QP a micro grow that or someone not using HPS lights.

I was experimenting though which plant would do better, the single one's in the beer cups vs. two plants in a bigger pot. The two plants is doing way better, not only bigger but healthier and less susceptible to problems.
