There should be some screws on the hinges that will slightly raise/lower the brackets from the sides, making the doors closer or further apart. Get yourself some weather stripping from a hardware store and you're set.

Thanks for the info, I'll shoot you a pm with any more questions.

So I like my cab but I put a fixed shelf in it which I DONT recommend, noob mistake. . . SO I only have so much space, but it still works.

But its still a little small, cant really fit venting on the other side of my tube to bring it in from outside, so I found this biggie and grabbed it up, what do u guys know aboot this bad boy??? lol

this badass is over 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide lol, so Ill have space to do my thing in this one, Ill update once its all built, I have it put together except the doors, gotta get weatherstripping. Anyone used these "doable" ones??

This is my ClosetMaid C-13 imposter. This was about a year and a half ago. Had to ditch the cabinet due to security and LE. I will be getting this same cabinet again and building it simularly, minus the shelf. As I said before, I'll be hanging a 250w.

I've already germinated 5 Res. Sour Diesel IBL and 6 Duth Passion Orange Bud. 100% germination. They will be planted in my homemade seedling/clone box that I had a need for because I was moving so often... This will keep me good for at least another week, which is enough time to have my cab, fully operational...
THESE ARE NOT THE SEEDLINGS I JUST HATCHED...

And here's a little something from last grow (18 - 19 months ago) for all you OG OG's... This ended up being a female and is all grown up now and lives in FL.

I have that exact same cab. I love it.

Heres what i have going right now. DJ Shorts Flo at about day 19 flower

Thats a sweet cab man, did u put a backing on it?? I just put two plywood braces in the back, my last one I did a whole malamine slab. I also didnt put the fixed shelf in this time, have u run into any height issues with urs in??

The cab looks dope man I might have to hit u up w questions as I build mine. Id love to have my light flipped the short way like urs but Im thinking cool tube and I dont htink a tube will fit like that. hmm any ideas??

Yeah I added a plywood backing to my cab.

I haven't run into any height issues with this cab yet, but I've only finished one grow with this particular cab. By the time this last grow was finished I still had about another 8-10 inches of free space to raise my light.

I haven't run into any heat issues. My bulb has gotten about 8 inches from the canopy without the canopy showing any signs of heat stress.

Yeah I don't think a cooltube would work the same direction I have my light. All I can really think of is to either go without, or I've seen hoods with the ducting holes on the top. I'm not sure if they would fit though.

Hello.

Hello.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on icmag and my second grow. I used to belong to OG and built my C13 cab about four years ago. I owe all my limited knowledge to many of you! Anyway, time has flew by, ready to begin growing again.

I started with Nirvana Skunk #1 about 8 weeks ago. (my 4 year old freebee seeds :>) The cab has a panasonic whisper outlet fan and 400W HPS light. Using FarmFox OF. (but have had continuous issues with MG def, i think???) Last two weeks, I've just kept watering with Espom salts. (2tsp/gal)

Just transplanted 4 females today after their pre-flowers came in. (3 males went in the trash) They're only 6 inches tall, but very bushy! Look forward to joining everyone and I feedback is always welcomed! (still not sure what I'm doing :>)

I can't post any pics yet, but they're uploaded in my gallery...

PS. I'm really longing for some smoke, so I need to get flowering ASAP!!! :cuss:

Hey mjl. I'm sure there are many like you who found this information and couldn't help but put it into practice. However ,most of us didn't end up with a four year supply of killer buds. How is cured three year smoke? Good luck on your current grow. I hope it yields you five years worth of smoke so you can share.
On OG I used to post pictures of a personal nature and the tradition continues. Once again for only the second time, Sumo blazed and followed through on a promise to build Sumo Jr an igloo.

I should have gotten a picture before the snow around the igloo melted. Of course I built igloo on someone elses property so my location cannot be pinpointed. Ahhh. Paranoia.

4 yrs of smoke?? I reread his post twice but cant find where he said that . . . Im lost. I got the 4 yr old freebie seeds and he built a cab 4 yrs ago but I dont think hes saying he has bud from 4 yrs ago. But maybe he is and Im just completely off base lol

Put my monster together -- I got some cab pics coming

So I finished the monster "doable" cab. At least putting the actual cab together, havent modded it yet besides the stripping . . .

My boy had ONE job; hold the thing straight and even while I screw in the back panel. PPL are so icompetent man lol so this is as str8 as he could do it. I wanted it perfect but here it is.

good enuff itll work.

And I added a drainage tray to the bottom of my current cab. My ladies smell too much when I bring them out and fuck with them so now hopefully I can leave them in the cab, water them and itll just drain.

Just basically a small ebbflow tray with 1 fitting in it for drainage.

And heres the cab from afar - Im out of vertical room lol.

Gotta figure out what to do about an air cooled hood in my new cab and Ill be updating.

peace y'all

He either nursed his stash or has been without smoke for a while. Why would a fellow with an operational c13 do without smoke for more than three month's? Just filling in the blanks. Only mjl knows.

You can lay cabinet front down, straighten to make square then attach white backing that comes with it. On top of that back with whatever you want. Stand cabinet back up..... wala.

That's a good idea sumo I probably should have done that when I built my cab. Sweet igloo too. I remember when I was a kid and my dad built me an igloo. Good stuff.

gonejah, I have the exact same problem with my cab. My left door is a bit higher than the right. What I did after the damage was done is I put a folded piece of cardboard under the back left corner of the cab and that straightened out the doors pretty nicely. The trick is finding someone who can help you tilt the cab while you slide something underneath the corner.

I can't remember if I read how far along your plants are, but if they have much more stretching to do things could get ugly until you buy yourself some more head room. I had a grow where I ran out of head room and it's no fun, I had to start all over it got to be such a nightmare. Otherwise, it's good to see your cab coming together bro. :headbange

yeah I feel u about the stretch, my boys goin thru that right now crazy style , he had to top :(

this is my 2nd run in this cab -- the first one I had a little scrog in there which worked well. Im hoping the stretch is almost done with these, Im at about 20 days of 12/12

Thats partly y I got the new cab, 6 feet should be enough lol.

not too worried about the imperfection in the cab, Im more worried about finding an air cooled reflector that I can flip lengthwise.

sorry for the confusion. yea, i've been not smoking and then buying small amounts (horrible stuff) for the past few years. time is now right to get back into growing... i'm still a newbie. only my second grow and I just fried them by mixing my own soil. just went out and bought 3 bags of FF mix to make "moonshine". I was surprised that I had a 90% germination rate with seeds that were 4 years old...

Sounds good man.
Just be careful w that FF I burned my first seedlings w FFOF lol. IMO u should put in like 30% perlite and water verry sparingly and u should be good. GL man!!!

Though maybe some of you Home Depot growers would appreciate this setup. I framed out a removable filter track to cover my intakes and push only clean air into the cab...

This is my new cabinet all finished up. I'll be moving my babies into it in a day or two. Check out my grow thread in my sig if you wanna check it out....

Heya ARTofMAKINGfire, that's a nice clean cab! I love all that height you have, even with the added couple inches of filter. Sweet filter too!
