honestly, schemes like this are folly. if the feds wish to open a package, they will do so. having packages inside of packages is only going to invite further suspicion. if you have to send contraband, just put it in a can of coffee or peanut butter or something... and don't make it look sketchy.

Help? How does tossing around a couple dozen speculations that you may be LEO help anyone in any way?

ever since the non-patriot act got passed, I wouldn't put much passed the feds-especially with a rigged supreme court in there too
in short-grow your own meds and keep it hush hush and you'll never need to test this theory

Sorry It wasn't my contention that the showsaid a murderer had to be caught within 48 hrs mearly that the trail cools after 48hrs. My point was that many a cases have been beaten on technicalities and that where lawyering up comes in.

Confederate- you may have nothing but the best intentions, but your post reeks of LEO...

If anyone can provide a link to some factual evidence re: when mail becomes mail that is protected by from search without a warrant, I'd appreciate it.

It's not "mail" if it's not "mailed".....

If the postage is purchased online including insurance, do you think you would be covered if you lost the package before delivering it to the post office? :biglaugh:

"Mail"......is not "mail" until taken possession of by the USPS.

Julian- I'm assuming that's the deal as well, but I'd like to see the law and/or cases where it has been argued before taking it as gospel. Any idea where that info might be found?

Lilwayne- I have rolled the dice with brown trucks, FedX, and usps only a couple times and usps 2nd day with no tracking has always "felt" the best. Good packaging technique, maybe slightly oversized with some old clothes, college care pack FTW. NS

So basically I should tell my weed man to become a mail man if he never wants to worry about getting busted?

interesting concept though I think it would work better in a domestic setting...a house inside a house, inside a house type of thing. If the cops got the warrant for the first door, they would run into another door inside with a different registered address, rinse and repeat. Maybe if a different tenant is registered to each 'doll' ...hmm interesting. getting me thinking.

I don't think the package route would work out because the inner package wouldn't be stamped and processed yet, therefore still the property of the original sender....without the postmark on it, it's just a box with some writing on it.

I had an enlightening experience with the USPS several years ago.

I had a stamped, addressed envelope I wanted to mail out but put off until it was almost too late.

I asked the postal clerk for an Express Mail envelope and when I went to insert the original stamped envelope the clerk told me I'd have to take the letter out of the envelope because it was illegal to send a stamped envelope inside of something else being mailed.

Don't know if this applies to FedEx/UPS also.:tiphat:

You know...all the italics in the world can't turn hearsay into fact. I sure wish you guys would consider providing evidence to support your claims rather than just doing the whole "trust me, I know what I'm talking about" thing. We all know how inaccurate 99% of the stories on this forum are...

So all those ads for information to be sent to you that instruct the viewer to send a "self addressed stamped envelope" are in fact conspiracy to break federal laws?

I would love to see some more evidence on this topic as well. I know a guy who goes all out with this technique. He wears rubber gloves and addresses a bunch of different boxes with the same sender, he doesnt put any stamps on them just adresses and seals them up...into the trunk they go.

This dude claims they cannot open the boxes, and he truly believes it. I honestly doubt this would work, but i agree its better than hockey bags...

Sometimes i wonder what is actually less of a risk...driving, or sending in the mail

like they said earlier...until its actually in the mail, its not mail, so they can search those boxes if they have probably cause.
