i am sadly underexposed to jazz music, except for what examples i have heard from listening to old Cream, since Ginger Baker had a serious jazz background. gonna try to pick up on that soon...

I tell it always again, find the book from Mezz Mezzrow. Jazz and weed storys from the old jazz days. A very good read.

david used to play at a local club here when passing thru. knew the owners and would get a heads up when he was coming. he had a very quiet demeanor and was very pleasant. back in the day when you could smoke in clubs he asked to please refrain and all did. It was a small place. He signed a note on Mr Gentle, Mr Cool to my wife which I gave her for an anniversary
