These will be taken between 68-75 days. The plants I've run in this cross have been excellent. Adding in the A5hbx has made a huge change in terps. I have another half a dozen in veg to see if I find any other phenotypes. I've found 2 so far. 1 is a ginger/skunk/haze which is this pic. The other is a Ginger/haze/sour. This is the pheno I like best, also yields better. I'll get pics of this pheno later.

Ive been looking through my DBMH seeds which is Dr.P cut of OGM) x Sour Dubble) x Chiquita Banana none stop for a long time now. My keeper is named NEM, shes a beauty. I just ran a few more seed plants and found 1 that is very Mango Haze dom IMO. I could swear I had taken a cut but unfortunately I did not locate any in veg. I'm pretty good about doing that it looks like I missed her. I was super bummed. I will continue popping more hoping to locate another. This is what the 38 day cured flowers look like. Def reminds me of 1980 4th of July at bonnie dunes Santa Cruz Ca weekend

Yesterday i tried the A5s1 by KarmaG, just dried i snipped a tiny side bud from the dry plant, mixed 50/50 with tobacco in a small J.
Damn this thing is strong!
I feel it's the strongest weed i've ever grown, interesting how she lacks terpenes but has such high thc.
The bud had to be opened and ground to feel at least some smell... there is a mild earthiness with a distant haze freshness in the background, nothing more than that.
The smoke tasted kind of sharp and spicy, felt pretty rough and bland. But...
On the exhale there was some church frankincense smell which was really specific and strong after a few tokes. The room was totally full of frankincense aroma which was almost pungent and lasted for long.
The effect i have to explore but had a very quick onset and must say it felt like a proper drug. Can't explain more in depth but i felt this strong facial numbness and some tingling with confusion and a tiny bit of potential paranoia. I think if unprepared this weed can get you by surprise and get you stoned to the bone, completely useless and waiting for the effect to pass. For someone with higher tolerance it would still be a blast but not so scary.
Soon it will get a cure in glass and i hope will somehow develop a bit of smell which it lacks... so a full report will come eventually, this was just a teaser If you want a very strong herb with high thc and lots of frankincense in the air, the A5s1 is the one!

Sounds like proper A5 you smoking.
Not something to smoke when you need to get shit done.
It has a certain terp profile that is pretty unique, same goes for its taste, smoke and potency. Devastating herb, specially harvested early, straight introspective trippy weed imho, mental coughlock.
The old crew used to refer to it as “bankstel-wiet” freely translated to “cough potatoe-weed”.
Not recommended during daytime.

The lack in terpenes/smell and bag appeal is what A5 was known for in the 90s. The potency too. There were/is some people, like my best friend, who are not able to reek or simply don't like the terpenes of A5 or HazeA, while for others it's still the best terpenes they ever came across even 30 years later.
He keeps telling me at least since 22-23 years that he dosen't understand the hype around HazeA, when HazeC progeny is so much tastier. I know/knew a lot of people who feel like that.

Here's an interesting comparison: this is the NH21XMM on the left, and the C5xKC (ace) on the right. Both small single stem clones at the moment, and I feel you can tell that they are related, by leaf morphology. Both are 25% HzC, with a splash of NL5, and besides the most recent outcrosses, are of the same genepool.
